Hi, just wanted to give a shout out for more2life and Diane Perrin in particular.
We arranged an Equity Release loan via m2l two or three years ago which has been very helpful.
The product is excellent being extremely flexible and well priced.
Initially we found the online aspects of customer service were fairly scant as I think they were new to the game and were concentrating on advisors.
However things have definitely improved and I’m now happy to report that I’m more than satisfied with all their customer service.
Many thanks!
Kind regards, Mike
What a terrible experience! We opted for equity release with this service, and our circumstances changed significantly after three years due to a major back injury, which forced us to move to a bungalow since I could no longer manage stairs. We borrowed only £40,000 against a property valued at £300,000, and the property we wanted to port to was worth £400,000—solid security for their loan! When we requested to port our loan, it was denied because they claimed it "might" be unfavorable due to its proximity to a micro dairy farm—a farm with 70 cows that spent most of the year outdoors. This situation forced us into a mortgage to pay them off, meaning I now have to work until I’m 74! They even attempted to dictate where we could live and imposed a £2,600 early repayment penalty that we had no choice but to incur. They show a lack of morals and empathy, seemingly unashamed to exploit the elderly. Their demeanor is smug and inconsiderate, solely focused on extracting as much of your hard-earned money as possible! I strongly advise against trusting them or engaging in equity release with anyone! They also operate under various names, so be cautious.

I had a lovely and helpful conversation with a representative. He demonstrated excellent knowledge of his role and possessed wonderful people skills. Unfortunately, I recently lost my closest friend, and by the end of the call, he was very caring, providing not only kindness but also contacts for counseling. I felt reassured after speaking with him. This reflects positively on the company for having such compassionate staff members.
The service provided is outstanding. They answer calls promptly and direct you to the appropriate person. The staff are consistently friendly, polite, knowledgeable, and eager to assist. They always follow up when promised and effectively use both email and phone communication. Their procedures are well organized, remarkably quick, and easy to navigate. I always felt at ease reaching out for clarifications or additional information. Having been with them for three years, I found both the initial mortgage paperwork and the recent drawdown process to be unusually low-stress. I wish other financial service providers were as well-organized and efficient.
They are glorified loan sharks targeting the elderly and vulnerable! When loved ones pass away, they make every process lengthy and nearly impossible, while continuously adding interest to the account. With charges reaching £1,000 a month and delays dragging on for nine months, the costs quickly accumulate! They have taken ages to provide responses, claiming the house is being sold for too little and sending their own evaluators, further prolonging the process, and then stating there isn’t enough to cover their loan! Avoid at all costs!
I received excellent assistance on my request. The response was very quick, and I was kept updated on the status and when I could expect funds in my account. As someone over 70, I’m not the most tech-savvy, but everything was explained step by step, making the paperwork and online signature very easy. Thank you!
