I enjoy the up-to-date price feedback as it helps me with my acquisition choices. I also enjoy the monthly news letter on the history of artists and movements. It would however be interesting to see using AI forecasting methods which artists are a buy, hold or sell option similar to markets utlising variables such as market sentiment per artist, movement, genre etc. and adjusting return for all expenses such as buy /sell commissions etc. There are multiple facorts that can be considered from macro economic factors, to in-vogue temporary factors and a collation of all media touch points.
Mutual Art asked me to rate them, but it's too soon to tell. I would have replied to tell them this, but their message doesn't allow any replies. It took several tries for me to open this rating page, so at the moment, I'd just give a neutral rating, but I'm hoping that it will be better.
I am struggling to use mutual art. I continue to receive emails asking me to pay to upgrade but I payed for the upgrade. I click on art to find out data and it asks me to upgrade. I wish I hadn’t upgraded. It is of no value to me because there is a disconnect with my account.
I appreciate the information and the site is easy enough to use, but I really struggle with the value. I'm a casual collector who only follows a VERY small number of artists hoping to add to my collection and I don't see a pricing option that really works for me. So many things that pop up are so far away as to make bidding not viable....which make the information of less value. I tend to only be pulled in when a work seems very compelling (e.g. I'm only current as a paining that matches one I have by the same artist of the same subject caught my eye). I'll unsubscribe soon and MAYBE be drawn back in, but maybe not. Again, perceived value.
Disappointed in the lack of communication asking for more information trying to help me determine a value. I would call it a scam. It seems to me if they need more information to actually give me a fair accurate evaluation they should ask for it and provide some guidance on what would help them provide an evaluation. They didn’t. Took my money and said there wasn’t enough or clear information. I’m the rookie here reaching out for an evaluation from an expert. I don’t know what you need to do that. Instead of lending me expertise they took the money end of story.
