I Paid upfront for one year...they give 90 days you can get refund if unhappy...i have been trying to reach customer service by phone , text, email etc for a week straight with no reply...now my april 7 deadline has passed...i am so upset i always wanted this service for 5 years finally i received the year membership as a gift from my mom ...we are not happy as most artists do not have signature references as promised and alot of realized prices for auctions are blank and not updated...now theres no way to reach customer service at all...i rarely write a bad review without speaking to customer service to try to fix things...but now im upset as theres no way to get a response...
I've been a member of Mutual Art for many years. I've had the pleasure of speaking with several personnel at Mutual Art, they have always been knowledgeable, professional and personable. I like that I can go to their site, do research, find art that I'm interested in, pricing for various art and it's a great learning tool. I look forward to selling my art, books and misc. items soon.
When I initially signed up, they did help me find someone who could give me a valuation on a piece of art. However, once you subscribe, you cannot unsubscribe. I thought I had canceled my subscription, but they charged me for six months. When I finally had to cancel my credit card, they were belligerent and difficult to deal with. Never sign up with them
I have only just started using the full features of MutualArt and have found it very useful getting an idea of what I should pay for paintings in auctions. Also for tracking down where artists, I like, are available in auctions in Australia. This means no currency conversions and lower delivery costs of items I purchase. It could be improved if there was more biographical information on artists listed. This is the only reason I did not rate as 5 stars. I would rate as 4.5 stars if I could.
I submitted a painting to be reviewed by Mutual Art. Their site said results would be available within 5 business days. It's been over two weeks and they have not replied to my emails or phone calls. Apparently they make enough money from monthly subscribers they do not need to provide other services.
