Review Time
As per many other reviews I accepted the November on line offer of wine without realising that by accepting the offer Naked Wines were signing you up to there "Angel Service" - more like RIP OFF service as there was no information whatsoever in the offer that by accepting you were agreeing to a £25 per month subscription. I agree with the many other reviewers that this is fraudulent behaviour. Steer well clear of this rip off company.
The wines are excellent and the prices are more than fair. The reason I love the wine club though is because I buy packages they put together. These are usually a very good deal and you are exposed to wines from all over the world. You can then review your purchases and rate them for later reference.
Naked wines are a super trustworthy company! I would highly reccomend using them as they are super personable and very understanding and aren't typical salesmen. I am taking a break from alcohol and these guys made it easy but I'll definitely be coming back when the times right.
On my very first order, it didn't arrive on the date given. Yesterday on my 2nd order with tracking, was promised delivery between 6 and 8 pm. Again box of wines didn't arrive. Not impressed. The wines were ok, but their communication leaves a lot to be desired.
The wines were originally delivered to the wrong address, but Naked Wines immediately apologized. This was probably the fault of the delivery co. they rely on. Also, perhaps because I didn't read the email properly (the details aren't made entirely clear), I hadn't realized I had signed up for a longer-term subscription (£25 in the first instance). But again, the company apologized and has promised to refund the money immediately. The wines themselves are excellent! So despite the odd hiccup (so to speak), it was not a bad experience thanks to the swiftness of their response to problems.
The wines are good but the site is designed to mislead.When you raise the question with the service team they just send a bunch a generic responses that don’t acknowledge the short coming. Sadly so automated the service doesn’t really exist.
I accepted a special discount offer at Christmas but was automatically signed up to a subscription service. This was not made clear in any of the emails I received and even once I knew about it I found it difficult to find the subscription details on their website. Very underhanded tactics. Once I contacted customer support I received a refund
