Didn’t see any wolves. Maybe rename the trip without specifying specific wildlife.
Also, stop sent reminders to pay gratuity online. We paid a very good amount in cash and don’t appreciate being hounded after the trip.
We’ve done three trips with NatHab. We did the Alaska Safari trip, the Yellowstone wildlife photo safari, and the Botswana and Namibia safari. They were all amazing. Well organized, knowledgeable guides, excellent accommodations, mostly excellent food. Yellowstone had the least amazing food, but the options for lodging and dining are more limited there. I would definitely do another trip with them.
Our trip to Maine was completely enjoyable and relaxing. Beautifully planned and executed by Nat Hab and our guides Erika and Jim. We experienced a warm welcome, a wonderful small group of 6 guests to travel with, excellent pace and personalized care. Our travel van was quiet and comfortable and we enjoyed staying at each of the historical accommodations. We like that all meals were included, highlighting regional food (lots of lobster!) and the opportunity to eat outside for two outdoor picnics. The itinerary was varied and interesting and we feel we really got to learn about the history and natural beauty of the Central Maine Coast. We didn't worry about a thing on this trip. It was perfect.
If you are a nature traveler you will find no other company that does it better. Their guides don't just know mammals, flora, fauna, birds, marine life.....they know about all of the nature that surrounds you. I've been on 5 trips and the guides are the best in the business.
The Maine Coastal Explorer trip was a unique and fun trip, especially for a person raised in the Southwest. Our expedition leaders, Charlie and Kaden, were knowledgeable and fun. I couldn’t have asked for more. Sailing in a schooner, catching lobster on a lobster boat, hearing sailing stories from a life long schooner sailor and builder, beautiful country and great lodging added so much to the trip.
The Yellowstone trip I took in Early October was a back and forth trip for three days once we reached Yellowstone. We missed out in staying at historical sites and missed seeing 3/4 of the park and saw the very same roads back to same motel, and same restaurant. Boxed breakfast and lunch were on each day were sub par, and it is just below what I have known to expect from Nat Hab. It felt underwhelming and would have been a greater experience of a drive through. I know you offer a 7 day drive through to Grand Tetons, and had I known I would be in the van for so many hours a day backtracking over the same roads, I would have picked that one.
I have traveled with Natural Habitat several times. All of their trips are designed to bring you in contact with nature. Sometimes nature cooperates. The trip to the Pantanal area of Brazil brought us in contact with wildlife training its young. A real joy to watch the baby foxes leave their den for the first time, the jaguar cub learning how to swim, the young giant river otters learning how to hunt.
