Disappointing Experience with New Boiler Installation

I had a new boiler installed in November 2023 based on a recommendation from the fitting company. It was supposed to be more efficient, with readily available parts and better reliability than my original choice. However, the engineer from the fitting service has had to come out to repair it ten times in two years, and there were numerous instances where they guided me on how to troubleshoot issues. I've had two pump replacements, with the second taking over three weeks to arrive. Recently, a technician assessed it and confirmed it was not fit for purpose, placing eight parts on order without any timeline for their availability. I've decided to remove the system and replace it, as I can't continue waiting for a resolution. I've also engaged another fitter, as I cannot afford to be without heating and hot water for an extended period.

An Absolute Nightmare

If I could rate this experience with one star, I would, as it has been a complete disaster trying to get my boiler repaired. We've waited endlessly for technicians who never show up, and when they do, each one tells a different story about the situation. Sadly, since moving into this house, we've encountered more issues with this boiler in six months than we have in 40 years with others. If you're in the area, I strongly advise against choosing this service, as they are unreliable when problems arise.

Avoid This Boiler - Poor Quality

AVOID! This has been the worst boiler experience I've ever had. The combi-boiler, installed in 2017 by previous owners, has constantly disconnected and needed resetting. Finding someone to service or repair it proved nearly impossible, and after just eight years (three years out of warranty), we encountered a gas leak with no one available to fix it. We ultimately replaced it with a better boiler at a significant cost. Customer service was unhelpful, as they had no engineers available and only recommended one busy plumber in the area. Spare yourself the hassle and avoid this inefficient service.

A Very Positive Experience

I reached out to the support team regarding a boiler issue, and after a few entries, I was quickly connected to a representative. They took my details and guided me through a reset process. When the issue persisted, I was informed that a technician would reach out. The next day, a friendly plumber called me in the evening and arrived promptly to fix the problem. He also offered valuable adjustments for our heating and hot water needs. Thank you for the excellent service!

Quickly Becomes Obsolete

Avoid this brand; when issues arise, it’s a hassle to get parts or technicians. The house I bought came with this boiler, and it broke down during the first cold snap. Customer service refused to honor the warranty because the last service was done by the previous owners. I was told I could repressurize it, but the installer left the inlet hose off. The installer claimed this was standard practice, and I was given a list of suppliers who didn’t have the necessary parts. It’s been a frustrating experience, especially since I’m disabled and have been left without heating during cold weather.

Design Issue

There seems to be a design flaw. When the boiler cools overnight, the pressure drops slightly, causing an error and shutting it off, leaving me without heating. I shouldn't have to wake up to manually add pressure. I've reported the problem but have yet to receive a response.

Extremely Unreliable - Regret Buying

I regret choosing this boiler. In just two weeks, it has broken down twice. I've never needed to call for boiler service before, but now I'm constantly on the phone. Please heed this warning and avoid this brand; opt for something that actually works.

Misleading Information

If I could give half a star, it would still be too generous. Customer service never follows up when they say they will, and engineers fail to communicate their arrival. Appointments are often missed without notification. After four days, I finally got an engineer scheduled, but I wasted three days waiting. The whole experience has been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.
