I bought several tickets through NYTG website. As I went to the shows, I realized that this company significantly marked up the ticket price and if I’d just gone to the theater’s website I could have saved a substantial amount. In addition, for two of the shows I didn’t get the barcodes for the tickets and had to get help, once from NYTG and once from the theater. While NYTG is not a scam, per se, it’s not worth buying your tickets here. I recommend buying from the theater and saving money.
I stupidly purchased a pair of tickets from this outfit without checking on them first. $414 plus "cancellation insurance." As soon as I realized it was a shady ticket resale operation, I cancelled and bought my tickets directly from the theater instead.Unfortunately, I didn't read the (very very very) fine print. The cancellation policy is a 24-hour window where you can exchange the tickets for a different show. Not helpful if you live out of town. Avoid these flouters of America's new Click to Cancel law.
