NHS amberlance transport driverClosed down the gap at a merge in turn to stop the merge then yelled abuse at me for trying to merge correctly This is a professional driver that obviously knows nothing of how a merge in turn works (most likely mad because they sat in the heavy traffic not utilising all the road space)
Contacted NHS 111 today. Spoke to an operator and explained my condition with my knee. She gave me an appointment at a hospital 3 miles away from my home, where there was one closer to me 1.4 miles, so I questioned and queried why I couldn't go to the nearer hospital. Her response was, it did not come up on her screen. Thereafter, she made the appointment for me at the hospital 3 miles away at 9pm tonight. I asked why are the appointment was so late in the night? if the hospital is running late on appointments I could be there until 11pm and I rely on london transport. The only other option was for her to get an out of hours doctor to call me back to then fix me an appointment for the same hospital, probably, same time, same place. I decided to cancel, I explained I will go to the hospital that is closer to me and did not require that appointment. I explained I was not happy with what she had to offer. I then left home and went to the nearest hospital and was in there for less than 30 minutes. Got seen by a doctor and left out to go home. The moral is, sometimes it's best to follow your gut instincts, rather than these people who are supposedly doing things in your best interest. In future, I will just go and attend the nearest hospital emergency dept and won't be ringing NHS111 in the near future.

Nope the NHS is funded to the tune of £1 billion sterling, The same amount of money as the US navy is supplied to police the entire world. So one would expect quite a bit more from them.I want to begin by offering my sincere accolades to the NHS staff themselves. The doctors, nurses, and frontline workers are generally excellent, hardworking, and doing their absolute best under impossible circumstances. They are the only reason the wheels haven't fallen off entirely. However, the system they work within is a different story altogether. The "Leaderboard" of Agony:A two-year waiting list just to see a specialist—what an absolute dream! Perhaps we should all start a national leaderboard to compare waiting times while we're writhing in agony; it might add some competitive entertainment to the "suspense."Imagine taking your car to a mechanic and being told, “You’re on a two-year waiting list just to say hello to the specialist, and it’ll be another year before we actually pick up a spanner.” You’d laugh, you'd cry, and you’d find another mechanic immediately. Unfortunately, in this "Trust" relationship, you can't. You’ve already paid your bill through a lifetime of taxes, yet the actual service remains a distant mirage on the healthcare horizon.A Business Model Built on 1948 Dreams:The NHS was formed after WWII (July 5, 1948) as a way to consolidate medical care. It was a fantastic, noble concept for the world of 1948. But show me any other business model that could operate purely on "trust" like this without going bust. It is a business that is failing its "shareholders"—the British taxpayers. The system is clearly buckling under the pressure of a population that has grown far beyond what the infrastructure was ever designed to handle. We are seeing a complete breakdown of a once-great institution. Churchill would likely be turning in his grave if he saw that his "Cohesive Unit" has become a queue that never ends. We have the best people, but they are trapped in the world's most inefficient waiting room.I have used AI to spell check my reviews only.
Talking Therapies, Was being seen by a really helpful lady (Katie)Completed 20 weeks and had to stop as that's all they offer, however, you can re-refer yourself after a short break, which I did! This time, they refused to see me because they assessed my condition to Bee too severe! The system that they use to assess you is not fit for purpose and the managing team stick together with each other! It's an absolute disgrace 😤 My brother passed away in February this year and they still won't help 😪 apparently, I am too far gone!!!What do they want? Me to off myself?
