My car has a mechanical issue and under warranty but the dealer can only accommodate my car after 2

My car has a mechanical issue and under warranty but the dealer can only accommodate my car after 2 weeks. I have no car for 2 weeks and yet I am paying for this . The nhs fleet and leasing company and dealer has not provided me a replacement car when it’s under warranty a fault of their own not mine.
U will know how good a company is when there is a problem and how they deal with this . In this case no one wants to help me .

All in all, good service. A good amount of choice available, and delivery time frames were accurate.

All in all, good service. A good amount of choice available, and delivery time frames were accurate.
There was a certain amount of information either hard to locate or provided only after delivery of the vehicle. Insurance being a prime example (cover details, excess etc.) It would be extremely helpful to have this detail at the decision-making stage, before committing to the vehicle lease.
This is a fairly minor detail, however, when part of the overall experience, which was pretty good.
Contact was good and vehicle delivery went very smoothly.
I would strongly consider NHS Fleet Solutions in the future.

Polite staff

While the staff I spoke to were consistently polite and helpful, the charger installation process was frustrating and unnecessarily delayed. This was not a standard installation issue and was due to an administrative error. The charger should have been in place by the time the vehicle was delivered, or shortly after but instead it took a further three weeks to resolve. Slow email responses, long phone waiting times, and repeated back and forth between three different companies contributed to the delay, which ultimately cost me additional time and money that should not have been incurred.

Faulty EX30 - NHS fleet solutions refuse to help

Very disappointed with customer service. I lease a Volvo ex30 through NHS fleet services Due to a defect I am limited to charging to 70% of battery capacity. This gives a real world range of 140 miles, far, far short of the 279 miles the figures suggest it should do. This has been the case for a month and Volvo still don’t know when they might have a fix for it The vehicle is now not suitable for my use due to the defect, it’s not as described and not acceptable. NHS fleet solutions have basically fobbed me off since I raised the issue and seem to be totally ignoring consumer rights. I have offered a compromise to resolve the situation but again that was fobbed off. Realky unhappy with the current situation

Fleet Solutions? More Like Fleet Illusions

My experience with NHS Fleet Solutions began wonderfully. The initial ordering process was smooth, efficient, and reassuring, giving me every confidence that I’d made the right choice. Unfortunately, once the contract was signed, the service slowed so dramatically it felt as though someone had switched the entire system to “airplane mode.”Delivery Estimates: Admirably Hopeful, Surprisingly FictionalThe delivery timeframe I was given was shared with such conviction that I fully believed it. As time passed, however, it became clear that the estimate had been more of an aspirational goal than a realistic schedule. I wouldn’t have been entirely surprised to learn my car was travelling the long way around via another continent.Communication: Minimalist in Style, Minimal in SubstanceNHSFS uses a very streamlined system for updates: one button in your online account, which you may press once every 10 days. It’s a little like politely knocking on a door that no one intends to open. When replies did eventually arrive, they were typically short enough to qualify as poetry:“end jan”“end feb”All lower case, no punctuation, and no context — as if economy of effort were an Olympic sport. Over time, I began to suspect some responses were simply copied and pasted, which would certainly explain their consistency, if not their usefulness. This was particularly challenging because I wasn’t seeking updates out of curiosity — I needed genuine timelines so I could coordinate the return of my existing lease car. Even a small hint of accuracy would have been immensely helpful.Contradictions: Two Sides of the Same Story, Only One AccurateEventually, I contacted the dealer directly. To my relief, they were responsive, clear, and able to provide detailed information immediately — information which, interestingly, contradicted the updates provided by NHSFS. While a surprising discovery, it did help me understand why the process had felt so confusing. The dealer also mentioned, very politely, that they frequently assist other NHSFS customers facing similar issues. It was oddly comforting to know I wasn’t alone.A Positive Note: The Dealer Truly Saved the ExperienceThanks entirely to the dealer’s professionalism and willingness to keep me informed, I did eventually receive my vehicle. They were the one consistently reliable part of this entire journey, and their support genuinely restored some faith in the process.Final ThoughtsNHS Fleet Solutions makes a very strong first impression, and with consistent communication and realistic delivery expectations, they could offer an excellent service throughout. As it stands, there is room for improvement — particularly in keeping customers informed with meaningful, accurate updates.Until then, patience, a sense of humour, and a very helpful dealer are likely to be essential companions.

  • NHS Fleet Solutions is the UK’s original public sector salary sacrifice scheme, offering a brand-new car of your choice on a two or three-year lease. Not only does the scheme offer potentially significant savings for staff but when leasing through Fleet your monthly cost includes insurance, routine servicing, road tax, breakdown cover and more – we call it hassle-free motoring for a reason! NHS Fleet Solutions are an integral part of one of the largest NHS Trusts in the country. This makes us proudly part of the public sector and means that you are not only our customer, but you are also our colleague.
