The website suggests it is an ethical, eco-conscious family-owned business based in Canada. However, the tracking information I received shows the item I purchased is being shipped directly from China. Transparency and authenticity are important to me, so based on that, I won't be buying from this company again! Follow up: I have now received my item, a pair of clog slippers. The website described them as genuine suede, but they are made from a cheap-looking synthetic material. I have contacted them for a refund and a prepaid return label, as these slippers were inaccurately advertised. I will wait to see their response. Final update: Customer service reached out and offered a full refund including my shipping cost. In this case, they did not require me to send the slippers back, so I donated them to a local charity. Their returns policy usually requires you to return items at your own expense unless they are faulty. In my case, the slippers were not as described. They asked me to edit my review. Both of my earlier reviews are accurate, so I won't change them. However, the fact that customer service contacted me promptly and issued a full refund is also accurate, so I am happy to include this final update. Overall, I would not recommend this company and I will not be purchasing from them again due to misleading advertising and the poor quality of the item I received.
Not truly a Canadian company, tracking doesn't function, and delivery was poor. However, the product appears acceptable. UPDATE: Customer support keeps emailing with the same response (international shipping damages boxes, send us videos of the lamp not working). I've received identical requests from two different representatives. I took the requested videos, but they're too large to email, and the company hasn't provided an alternative way to send the videos showing potential defects in the lamp. So, the result is that I have to give a defective lamp in a damaged box as a Christmas gift. I won't be dealing with this company again.
Not located in the UK. It took a while to arrive and I suspect that if I wanted a refund, I would have to pay high postage to China. The slippers were advertised as size 41-42, but they are closer to size 40.5. The website claims easy returns, but they will likely offer a discount if you keep the items. It's a shame that many of these sites are active, making it difficult to avoid purchasing from well-known suppliers to avoid scams.
A manager from the company reached out today. She reiterated that two orders were placed, with separate confirmation emails. I searched my email multiple times but found no separate confirmation or shipping update for that second order. She offered to fully refund the second charge and I do not have to return the second product. I accepted the refund and appreciate the company's decision. However, I do not trust the information on their website regarding their location and ownership. They shipped two orders, but I only have emails for one. They charged me twice. When I contacted them, I was asked to provide proof of the double charge. I did that, but now they claim they can confirm two orders were made, yet they refuse to refund me for the extra item, even though I offered to return it if they provided a prepaid return label. What kind of business is this? It feels deceptive. BEWARE!
