Review Time
Solihull branch - very similar experience to the review of 28 November 2025. Not responding to emails, communication promised when chivvied, but then not followed up - whole process dragged on for best part of 6 months with no chain involved in the conveyancing and some issues raised at the last minute that should have been flagged up earlier. We were advised by Green & Co (who were otherwise excellent) that they were their ‘in house’ legal option though we were free to go elsewhere. We wrongly assumed this would expedite the whole administrative process. Would not use again. No formal contract other than a letter of engagement so had no measures to use against them e.g. expect a reply within one working day etc. Communication within the office seemed absent.
We had Helen James deal with conveyancing for our house sale.Helen has been the most efficient, speedy and friendly solicitor we have ever used on our multiple house moves over the last 10 years.I have never known a solicitor to be so available, speedy and always friendly and very effective in her dealings, the price quoted, did not alter, no matter how many times she spoke to us or sent correspondence for us.I can honestly highly recommend Helen James to anyone. Amazing
Where do I start.Me and my partner recently bought a house and needed a solicitor.We found Nps online and we were assigned Helen James.I was nervous about all of the house buying situation with so much paperwork's and emails.Helen was a god send.She was patient and explained everything in such a way that it made us feel like everything was ok.She is a true professional and very personable, thank you Helen you are a absolute gem in you're profession. We are truly happy in our new home
The Most Terrible service by Zouhra Sharif and NPS Law. Where do I start. Having been a first time buyer, Zouhra Sharif has been most unhelpful, unsupportive and rude. I was recommended by Goto conveyancing for them to complete the sale of my first property. Zouhra has no direct dial, does not return phone calls, and does not respond to emails. In fact, apparently my emails had been accidentally deleted - professional? Only replying to me when I was sending my third email questioning the funds on my account. Zouhra also does not keep up to date with comms or work you upload onto their conveyancing portal. I had no direct communication with her during my experience with her, despite the office telling me she would return phone calls in due course. She emailed requesting payment onto the account, and that was it. She only finally replied to me once I had chosen to go with another solicitor in light of the fact that the firm had no SRA accredited solicitors and therefore were struggling to work alongside mortgage lenders. This is worrying, and had I known this, would not of instructed them in the first place. I fear they refused to keep in contact with me, while their application to work with Skiptons was pending, hoping they could push this through in time for me not to notice things were moving slowly. It was my mortgage broker who finally told me the issues they had in house, not from Zouhra herself. I then made the decision to move to another Solicitor who have been most helpful. Zouhra also then quibbled over a £6 payment I supposedly owed them, despite never replying, updating or supporting with the conveyancing process, as a first time buyer. She had also misinformed me that I was in credit - and then came back to me to suggest I owed them £6, further displaying her incompetence. I am really disappointed and would avoid at all costs. Particularly Zouhra herself, who has put a stain on my experience as a first time buyer. I have kept all my ignored emails and evidence to formulate a formal complaint with Goto conveyancing. They should never have been recommended.
The process started smoothly, but completion day was unnecessarily stressful. Once NPS had the funds, it seemed they’d forgot who their client was. Lindsey’s tone was abrupt and lacked empathy during a very challenging move. Despite our buyers not moving in for two weeks, we were pressured to vacate immediately without flexibility or clear guidance. After Lindsey abruptly ended the phone call, her colleague called back and provided guidance on “reasonable amount of time” - if the chain is fluid and no direct financial/inconvenience to our buyers, usually end of the day 5pm is accepted, despite tight contractual terms. If this was advised before hand, with a more proactive, collaborative, professional and considerate approach would have made all the difference during those last few hours. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t recommend based on this final experience.
Our solicitor through NPS law was/is Terry Mills. He has been absolutely outstanding in his field in every way possible! He is professional, understanding, kind,patient and his communication skills are excellent 👏. We can rest assured knowing if we need to email terry with any questions or worries, we get a reply straight away! We have NEVER been kept in the dark and never had to chase for updates! I honestly cannot praise him enough. We have been incredibly lucky to have Terry and NPS law.!! We will always be forever thankful and never forget you ❤️. I recommend NPS, especially Terry to anyone and everyone.
