I honestly don’t understand how this company has a 4.3 rating. Here’s my experience:
2023: 64Mb service for £20
2024: 34Mb service for £30
2025: 34Mb service for £34
So over time, I was paying more money for a slower service.
Because I rent, I had to move to a new property each year. Every time I moved, they tried to charge me £120 just to transfer the service. No engineer visited, and it wasn’t even a new setup — just a simple move. Each time, I had to spend days arguing with them to get that charge removed.
After 3 and a half years, I finally managed to end my contract with them, and I’m very happy to be done with this company.
mediocre service speeds, mediocre prices, terrible help.
If you move house to somewhere where they don't cover before the contract is up unlucky you have to pay all of the contract as the early cancellation. You'd think half is reasonable but no just pay the full cost.
Would not recommend this service to anyone unless you want 0 flexibility and if you have any issues unlucky they're not helping without a big payday.
Awful experience from start to finish. The internet itself is fine and it works great but the way the company operates is shocking. They are constantly trying to increase your monthly payments by adding on extras that they don't ask you for. Such as 'one stream assured' or 'one stream priority' or they will add on insurance for your router that you didn't ask for. They will then argue with you on the phone and say 'we informed you by email'. The email will most likely go to your junk mail but that's besides the point. You can't just add extras on to people's plans and 'inform them by email'. They took me up from £33 to nearly £48 with these extras and I assume they just hope you don't notice. I'm sure they get away with it quite often as well.
They will also add yearly increases on which they say are in line with inflation but they were over 10% every time. The initial new customer rate you get with one stream is very quickly eroded by this.
The cancellation charges are also astronomical so there is absolutely zero chance of leaving until your contract is over.
I would strongly advise to stay away from this company and just a pay a little bit extra for a more established service that actually treats it's customers fairly.
I recently contacted Onestream regarding a billing question about my first payment. Sumit from the support team was very professional, patient, and helpful throughout the process. He carefully reviewed my account and clearly explained that the higher charge was due to pro-rated adjustments when my new contract started.
Everything was clarified properly, and I appreciate the transparency and assistance. Thank you, Sumit, for your support.
Really bad experience. After they installed the line I called the support as the speed was really really low but they didn’t want to cancel my contract! So now I have to pay 2 contracts! One with a provider that works and one with onstream that doesn’t work and I can’t use. It is like a scam!!!
Good customer service. You can always get through to an agent pretty quickly. Abhishek D was very helpful, pleasant, professional and polite today when we had to contact them.
It is what is in the fine print! They hide that they charge £5 a month "rental" for the router, then they force YOU to pay to return it when you leave. They add on £5 for "insurance" encase they need to send an engineer to "repair" your connection. In the 25 years I have had broadband, I have never needed an engineer to visit for broken internet. Even though you are on a two year contract, they raise prices the second year. Don't use these people.
Firstly the internet provided was rubbish. Second we moved house and they charged a fortune for the privilege (note, no engineers needed or anything!). Finally we reach the end of our contract, hallelujah... or so we think! They have now made it so difficult to leave! And desperately trying to charge us for any excuse. If we try and swap to a new provider on the last day of our contract (so theres no break in service), they want to charge £239 early termination fee! Its not early! It's the end!!! Let us go for God sake! And icing on the cake, the router we had to pay for at the start of the contract has to be sent back to them at the end, you only get a few days or they charge you another extortionate fee! They are nothing more than thieves. Don't let them trap you, signing up with them was the worst decision we made! In a positive, just experienced the Now with Sky support team and they were great, go with Now or Sky, NOT Onestream!!!
One stream just like Pop Telecom
On the search for a new broadband deal. Looked at One Stream thought yes that's a cheap deal (actually it's not when you add in the router rental price per month and April price increase) however decided not to pursue the deal. Since then I have been bombarded with calls and texts multiple times a day over the last few days telling me I don't want to miss out on a good deal. Supposedly they have uk call centres but these calls are coming in from India 😡
Just for the fact they have pestered me I won't ever go with them..yes their numbers are now blocked
No Thanks One Stream
