Review Time
I originally ordered my kit in April and unfortunately due to COVID-19, there was a significant delay in shipping. I was worried, but I understood that due to a global pandemic, this problem was out of their control. The customer service was great and saved the day! Knowing the situation, they did everything they could, they were so quick to respond to my inquiries and were thorough in their explanations.
I ordered my set in April paid for the shipping and was told it would take a few business days but I didn’t get my order until June. Keep in mind I got this to keep me occupied from the pain during the last months of my pregnancy and to have something for my daughters nursery. I’ve contacted them multiple times and they gave me some bs excuse talking about COVID well if that’s the case they need to have that updated on the site before purchasing an item. They then sent me a link to get a free set with them for the long wait but when I fill it out I get no correspondence from them. Then they have the audacity to ask me to write a good review for them due to the fact that they have been getting bad reviews lately. They have horrible customer service and to whoever Kate is that has been dealing with me thank you for neglecting your customers by getting back days later really showed me that I would not be continuing any business with you guys in the future and I expect my free kit to get to me within a decent time frame
I have finally received my order after months and I am not a bot or PaintGem themselves placing a false review. I placed my order on April 9th and it arrived on June 4th. It took 2 months for my order to arrive and I spent a great amount of time talking with their customer service over Facebook chat, as that is where I placed my order initially. They were extremely infuriating at times as they kept giving me the same general responses that didn’t even make sense to my questions. They gave me a USPS tracking number that didn’t update for months and couldn’t seem to tell me where the initial shipping was from which was a concern of mine due to it shipping from “Shanghai.” I opened up a claim with PayPal that sat not responded to for a couple of weeks. I kept badgering them on messenger, but yet the same response that my order was coming and they were sorry. It was continually someone different talking to me over their messenger which was also very strange to me. They would give the same response and send me my tracking number over and over as well as the form for a free gift which was also kind of weird to have a free gift set up already but yet I hadn’t even gotten what I ordered. I was told my tracking would potentially not update until the package arrived at my home which was also fishy sounding to me. At one point they made a mistake and sent me two tracking links and I could see the other link that was not mine said it had been delivered which gave me a small slice of hope. They eventually gave me a random estimated delivery date of June 13th and couldn’t seem to tell me how they got that other than it came from a “manual shipping table” they received from the shipper, but still couldn’t tell me the company they shipped from. Someone finally told me the shipping company and then I asked for a tracking number which I was asked to “please hold on while I find that information” and then was never again responded to. I was annoyed and figured my escalated claim with PayPal would do its work soon and hoped for a refund after reading the reviews on here as well. Then finally, around June 3rd my USPS tracking updated out of nowhere. It initially said the package was “pending acceptance” in New York but the package updated to arrival somewhere in California and eventually was delivered to me a day or two later. I will say, in their defense, the package was post marked April 25th, which is the same day the first sent me tracking information. I now have my product and it’s great. Exactly as expected and very fun, I just wish it had arrived much sooner than it did. They have requested to me that I make this review and I want to to let you know that I have actually received my product, but their customer service is awful and they need to be truthful about where they are coming from and actual shipping times which would’ve led to fewer issues and bad reviews here. Don’t know that I will order from them again following this entire situation, but I am happy to have what I ordered initially and am now finally really enjoying it.
So, it took a long time, but with everything going on right now, it's understandable. The product was well worth the wait, I'm incredibly happy with it all around. The drill is pretty and functional, the cookie wax is so much easier to handle than just the little square pieces floating around, and the picture itself is readable with fantastic adhesive.
I ordered a custom order. It took almost 8 weeks to come. (due to Covid) However, I can't entirely blame Paintgem. I am excited and I really enjoy doing it. The pen is a little cheap. I have to jimmy-rig it ever so often because I think I pushed it too hard. Overall, I am very pleased with what I received. I enjoy doing it and I will definitely order more!
Amazing customer service! I know that my parcel was delayed but with the crazy state of the world right now its to be expected. I didn't get my order till I put in a search request with UPS so I don't feel it was Paintgem's fault and yet they are still willing to compensate me with a free mit which is awesome. The kit looks amazing and I'm so excited to get started!
