Review Time
Four weeks ago I wrote customer service asking several specific questions about a product as the instructions on the brochure were unclear and the pictures did not depict anything to clarify the vague instructions. After nearly two weeks with no reply, I send a second message asking for the same information or a YouTube video to reference and that time was running out (has to be done within 6 weeks). It’s been one month and I finally got a reply that did not answer ANY of my questions at all. Like it’s as if they didn’t even read my email and gave me a one sentence reply giving me information that I already stated I had while ignoring the direct questions I needed help with. I’m extremely dissatisfied with the time it took to hear back and with the quality of the reply. I would not give them my business again.
We've used this company for many years and had great service. NOT NOW. Placed an order and they charged our card. Email says we'll get a notice of ship date within a couple of days. Nope. Call customer service and wait on hold for over half an hour. Say they will ship by the end of the week. Nope. Send an email and they say they'll get back with us. Nope. Have to battle the charge on my credit card and find the product elsewhere. Sad to see a once great company turn into one of the worst.
My order was only partially shipped. It's now a month later. When I emailed (because you cannot call and talk to someone) they sent a form letter back with my tracking number of the partial order I received. Cannot get a refund. I bought several packs of seeds most did not grow.
Placed an order for three items (14th). All of which should have shipped together. I received the order in 2 days which was great, but missing one item (which was not backordered or delayed due to zone-shipping). Sent an email that day (16th). Did not hear back until the 22nd and they confirmed the missing item would be shipped within the week. By the 5th (2 weeks later), I had not heard anything. Spent three days on hold on the phone. Called each day and waited 2 hours before hanging up. Tried once in the morning and the late afternoon. On the 7th I was finally able to reach someone in about 30 minutes. She confirmed that the item was both in stock and had been shipping to my zone since my order. She was unable to provide me with an estimate on when the item would ship out, or connect me to someone else who could give me any more information. While the customer service rep was nice, the entire experience has been lackluster and made me wary of ordering through this company when many others have the same products. Side note: the other two items I ordered were seeds which have a poor germination rate. Asked a friend who runs a large YouTube gardening channel, and he's confirmed that this company is one he hears many complaints from.
Their seeds were well packaged in an inner wax envelope sealed in outer foil, but clearly mislabeled. I ordered Rhodochiton seeds which have a very distinct unique shape. What was sent was a dust like small seed which might be "Purple bell flower" NOT "Purple bell vine". Sent email and got: Care representative will get back to me. Yada yada.
I ordered a Portabella Mushroom kit and instead they sent me a less expensive Button Mushroom Kit. I notified them immediately and they have completely ignored me. I've done business with them and several of their sister companies in the past, but never again.
So, we ordered 12 pkgs of zinnia seeds at 5.50 per pkgs. We wanted all red zinnias to with our landscaping. Not only were the seeds pricey, but imagine my surprise when the shipping was $13.99. Seriously! This is fraud! I will NEVER recommend this company. I understood the cost of our seeds, however, the shipping cost is exorbitant. It should be unlawful to overcharge for shipping a minuscule package of seeds.
I have been a loyal customer for years. Wanted to place an order today but they now have absolutely ridiculous shipping charges. For 5-6 small packets of seeds it's $10. It used to be free or $1-2. It costs pennies for the company to ship, but they now charge ridiculous shipping charges to make even more money. They blamed it on the pandemic. What a terrible, unfair business practice. I haven't seen anything about carries (UPS, USPS, FEDEX) increasing their fees 5-10 times. I will buy all my seeds for $10-15 at a local store instead of paying 10 bucks for shipping (plus the price for not so cheap seeds themselves). Shame on you, ParkSeed.
