Review Time
I ordered a Fuel filter at Partsgeek.com and paid for expedited shipping to ensure it would arrive on time for my mechanic appointment. Then FedEx sent it from North Carolina to Oregon for some reason, and when I checked the tracking, I learned that it is not expected to arrive here for another week. That is 2 weeks from purchase, and after the time it was supposed to arrive, and too late for my needs.
So I contacted Partsgeek online through chat, and asked to cancel my order and refund me, because I now needed to buy another fuel filter locally.
I was told that they cannot cancel the order because it was already on the way, which is understandable, but that I would need to pay the return shipping and a restocking fee. They were unwilling to send me a pre-paid shipping label or waive the restocking fee. That is the last time I do business with PartsGeek.
I placed my order Monday before they opened and paid for expedited shipping (2-5) days. It is Friday, and I still don't have my parts. They are telling me Monday does not count as a business day. So, I will not have the parts on time.
Additionally, I have to pay to ship the parts back and also a 20% restocking fee. So, it cost me shipping and 20% to learn the lesson not to use this company.
Lastly, the representative who called seemed like he had no power to make the sutuation right. Only the ability to tell me the return policy. What a waste of time.
Absolutely ridiculous, relieved an empty package from USPS stamped shipped and received with empty content,Called customer service and got a non English speaking customer service who tells me they cant send me another part and have to fill out a huge claim form at expend.com and wait?Screw you Parts Geek,NEVER AGAIN
BLUF: Never trust a part from PartsGeek, even if it's labeled correctly
Ordered an axle kit for a CR-V. Checked the box upon arrival to confirm all components were there, which they appeared to be. Mechanic calls me up towards the end of the install to say they have everything nearly put back together but one of the bearings was 25% larger than the one getting replaced, even though both bearing boxes had the same part number listed on the box. PartsGeek denied a return/credit as:
1. You can't return any part of a kit, it all has to be returned.
2. The rest of the kit had already been installed on the vehicle, and they only accept new, never installed parts for return
I was placed in a no-win situation as I didn't think I'd have to pull a bearing out of the correct item numbered box and compare it to the other bearing to ensure they were the same.
So I'm out an additional $85 for the correct bearing and am left with an extra bearing with no part number or identification that'll be impossible to sell on my own.

We bought a front end suspension kit for our 1999 Dodge Ram diesel. All info given and we get the part and our mechanic said it didn't fit our truck. Why we don't know because the info on our truck was correct. My husband had "emergency" major heart surgery after it was delivered and we were 3 days late calling them to return and they would not take it back. My husband was within hours of losing his life and piece of crap company had not one ounce of sympathy for our situation. Down $225.
I bought a dipstick that didn't fit my car's tube. I had to pay for return shipping. They should have provided a return label and helped me get the right part. I can't wait to see the restocking fee.
PartsGeek met and exceeded my expectations with parts that fit perfectly in a 1999 Ford F-150 XLT which were no longer available from the dealership.
Never heard of these guys before a buddy of mine who owns Kohler racing brought them to my attention what a score.
Well done Parts Geek well done yours truly Joe skiba
I bought an alternator for my 2016 Kia soul 2.0L and was sent a part that did not work with my vehicle. When attempting to return it, apparently I'm supposed to spend more on shipping the item back to them than I did on the actual item? And then there's fees if they don't get it by a specific time? And there's no way to cancel a return through their website? One way to improve the website would be to properly list what vehicles the parts work with. Or to allow one to cancel a return. Or, perhaps, informing a customer before hand that they have to pay for the shipping themselves and there's fees if you don't get it to them fast enough so that you know before starting the return that returning an item costs more than it did to buy it. Basic common sense that any legitimate business has when making websites.
Put in my exact vehicle to the spec & ordered a bolt on Catalytic Converter (From factory its bolt on). Packaged arrive and doesn't even fit my vehicle. Went to return it and there is no option on the return part to select wrong part sent. False Advertising an item for a vehicle & blaming it on the consumer. I had to dish out $70 dollars to return it.
If I could rate this lower, I absolutely would! This service is frustrating to deal with. An agent helped me find the parts based on my vehicle's VIN, which should have been correct. However, none of the parts fit, and they refused to accept a return. When the issue is their fault for providing incompatible parts, they should take responsibility and allow returns.
