They are a scam. Once they lock you in, they make it impossible to cancel. They tell you to watch a 7 minute video that guides you step by step to cancel via their webpage, but, their video does not even remotely represent what appears when you navigate through your account. It is impossible to follow the directions because they don't match anything in the content that you see. I went through the entire website and could find no possible way to terminate this membership. It's by design. They even put up a prompt asking you if thevideo answerwd your questions but the two buttons below the question are empty so you don't even know what to press. This is evident on desktop, laptop and Android smartphone. I emailed them and explained the problem, even though I know they already know about the problem. If they cancel membership I will gladly remove this complaint, but many others have complaimed aboutthe same problem,so I expect they will tell me to watch the video again and follow the directions - directions designed to not be followable or cancellable.
i was browsing to see what it was like then a month later £3 was taken from my account then again the next month when i did not pledge it even sign in. so now i cant cancel my “membership” because i am not pledged to anyone, the only option is to kill myself!
I was worried seeing the negative reviews of patreon, i needed help with an issue about not receiving the rewards of my patreons and a weird bug with the patreon chat where i had a message notification but no message (the rewards are sent by links on the patreon chat). The support response was fast i sent it last night and the support help me with the matter this morning. The lady of the support sent me what was suppose to be in the message sent to the other patreons and helped me get my rewards super fast.
I decided to give this site a try and, within three days, started browsing these reviews and... wow, my experience proves these lousy reviews to be spot on accurate. Obviously, the site has enjoyed success in the past and now relies on its reputation to carry it the rest of the way. But, at this point in time, it sucks. It's like the people who run it decided to go hit the beach and hope for the best. The company refers to its customer service department as the "customer happiness community" and, just by seeing these reviews, we know that's a joke. I can confirm that with my personal experience by stating that I contacted the "happiness" crew twice for assistance and never received a response. Links in the menu were not functioning. No remedy offered. Don't waste your time. Pretty soon, maybe that one star will fade to zero : )
Terrible customer service. Unhelpful website. Mystifying, unexplained charges to my paypal account. No response from Patreon regarding my billing history. They ought to change their name to "Patronize". Because that's how customers feel after about a dozen automated emails and phone messages. How do these companies ever stay in business???
Something's not right (CSAM)I reported NSFW content where the girl was clearly too young to be in suggestive photos... and then I was suspended. I reached out to customer support to ask why they suspended my account, and they ignored my support ticket.I subscribed to several creators (totalling around $50/month) and it kept charging my credit card. Since they suspended my account, there was no way for me to cancel my subscriptions manually and when I submitted a support ticket, they ignored it. I had to cancel the credit card and now my bank has to get involved because Patreon scammed me.
This ba***rd is a sccamer. I paid the value of a month's subscription and nothing came to me. I opened a dispute in Paypal and the dispute was won because this animal proved that I had received the download. I hope one day I find someone to punish this ba***rd.
I never subscribed to this or any creator. My cc got charged $5 which was weird. I disputed this after trying to contact patreon. I have not other info. They send a doc. showing the amount and charge but no creator name or my name on it. So someone got a hold of my cc but no way to get any help.They need to do more than just throwing the blame. If i know the name of the one who subscribed or the creator, it would help so much!
