Patreon wrongfully billed me for 130 euros. And now, two months and 20 emails later, they still havent given me my money back. At this point I doubt if ill get it back. Im still in contact with them, but they reply maybe two times a week if that and their responses are incredibly lackluster. Almost like they are stalling the whole thing and waiting for you to just give up. Absolutely the worst company I ever financially got involved with.
Patreon is absolutely terrible do not give them your money!!! I asked for a refund numerous times & they kept saying to email the creator which was global ce5. Rupert Kortosh/Rupert Randall never responded nor gave me my money back. I know people who had been paying annual memberships and canceled and didn't get their money back either!
I just came to trust pilot to check alternatives for patreon as they do not allow people to sell products but only month packages.And I saw everyone (BMC or GUROAD) have awful reviews so I went to see what reviews Patreon has. I couldn't believe my eyes. I have been a creator on patreon with 3 different accounts and all 3 got verified in matter of days. Never had any issue to contact support. Honestly I have tried buymeacoffee and they just decided to take my money and refund it all without any explanation except 'we are small comapny if anyone of our big partners wants us to cancell you we have to do it' literally those words. But patreon never had done anything wrong for me. You are getting this from the first hand.
Dreadful platform with anti consumer practices. Billing takes place on the 1st of the month, no matter when you sub, resulting in you being ripped off if you sub late in the month, or if you don't unsub by the first. Awful platform. Untrustworthy. Will not to sub to content on the platform again.
I too found accounts selling cp and they didn't do anything for my first report, then they banned me when I followed up on the ticket. I don’t like what I'm seeing or hearing from others with similar encounters finding accounts with child p*rn so I'm done using the site.
I have wanted to change one of the people I support on Patreon from Monthly to Yearly but I cannot find an answer as to when I will be charged.I found a place to email customer support but it is so controlled with what I am allowed to ask about it is basically useless. I am spending money here. Please be very upfront about how it works and realize that all of these so-called "expert" systems are just there to keep customers from finding answer to their real questions.I hope the people I support will begin to move to SubscribeStar.
I'm looking through a bunch of reviews and I can see I'm not the only one finding illegal content of underaged children for sale. Well here's my experience:I reached out to their customer service, opened a ticket and provided them the links of several creator accounts distributing sexual content involving children, and then after sending a follow-up to the ticket, I WAS THE ONE THEY SUSPENDED. As far as I know the accounts selling the illegal content are still up and they haven't answered my e-mails asking to restore my account. I had three active subscriptions on it that they still charged at the beginning of the month that I couldn't cancel because they ignored my e-mails asking to restore my account so I can manually cancel them OR my e-mails asking if they can just cancel my subscriptions on their end. I had to call my bank and they had to cancel the card and reach out to Patreon because they kept ignoring me. Imagine people run a business like this with illegal content and unethical business practices.
Illegal videos of children.I found an account posting illegal videos of children (sexual in nature) and reported it. I haven't heard back, my ticket was closed and I opened a new one a few days ago but there's no review. I've already reported this to the police, I don't know how this can be for sale on some website used by thousands of people.
