I wish that we could upload a photograph as I looked like The Hulk after opening my bag of Matcha.I carefully cut the top off the sealed bag being very careful to avoid the area to seal it back up. At the end of this process my hands, kitchen worktop and the bag were all bright green. There must be an easier way to dispense this very light and incredibly powdery green matcha tea. As the price is very high at £10 per pouch I wondered just how many drinks had exploded over me and how much money I may have wasted not to mention the messy process. The taste wasn’t very pleasant but I didn’t expect it to be as I bought it for the health benefits so no surprise though Steve Bartlett claimed that it was tasty so had higher hopes. As regards the benefits, time will tell. Next time that I buy one I will be sure to wear silicone gloves, goggles and not be wearing a white t-shirt and have a cloth to hand!
The taste is really really disgusting. It tastes like sparkling water. Absolutely putrid. I tried to force myself to drink some of it to see the benefits but i also noticed it is making me feel sick. I couldn’t even finish most of it genuinely.
tried the apple and raspberry canned energy drink and it certainly works as advertised, if you want a kick without all the extra sweeteners and chemicals plus no mad jitters then this is for youhowever, if you dont like the taste of green tea dont buy it, there was absolutely no hint of apple or raspberry and it just tastes like lightly sparkling grass juice, i personally dont mind too much having drank worse for a energy fix but i wouldnt recommend... just buy Purdeys as its faaar nicer
As many others have been I see, I've been ignored by customer services.I emailed to ask a medically important question - did the l-thianine in their canned drinks come naturally from the macha used in the drink or was it added in from another source, such as supplements wholly or in part. The numbers on the can suggest it's not coming all or at all from the macha, making this very much not a natural energy drink in the way the advertise. Would my doctor have an issue with me having macha with naturally occuring l-thianine? No. Supplemental pill or added to something? Very much so!I was disgusted and shocked to get no reply. Many substances when obtained through food or drink naturally may be tolerated by a human but suplimental versions can be poorly tolerated and even dangerous. On top of that if someone was to take supplemental form l-thianine on its own or added to something they should be concerned about its quality and many other safety factors.I will be reporting this to trading standards and the relevant food and drink safety avenues and encourage you to do so too.
