Genuinely speaking, a business website has no customer service contact number is irresponsible and suspicious. I was interested in some of the pets but had difficulty to message to some breeders, because I did not pay for being a VIP. One needs to familiarise how it works before making a commitment / payment. One breeder received my message but they intended to sell older pets, not the one in the photo. Also, please don't rely on the one liner good comment, read the negative messages to learn from others' poor experiences to get ready what you need to prepare for.
Be cautious when breeders have no patience for discussion. I will blame more on the website function design. I am not ready to pay for an initial conversation with the breeders when you don't have all the information you need about the pet. Imagine someone put some photos of their pets on but never available for sale? Just to collect the membership fee? Some breeders emphasise No Time Waster? You want to sell a pet online, but not interested to answer the questions? The website allows breeders to block the message until you become a VIP member doesn't help the buyers. Don't rush into any deals when you are being pushed.
All websites should have customer service contact number when it involves payment, couldn't find one on Pet4Home. Too many pop up ads on this website, forcing to become a paid member when you send message to the breeder. Came across a breeder showed a photo of one year old pet but turned out they wanted to sell older pets, not the one on the advertisement. False advertising.
Untrustworthy and dishonest. I chose to buy a puppy via pets4homes to provide reassurance security and guarantee that I would be buying from a responsible breeder and I would get what I paid for as set out in their platforms listing. I did not, breeder Atlanta Wilshire claimed in listing, and confirmed verbally and by messaging, puppy was “up to date in vaccinations”-when in fact she had not done second vaccination. Because overdue 7 weeks vet advised effectively not vaccinated and must start whole programme again. Worse, due to her lies puppy was briefly but potentially fatally left exposed by being unvaccinated. I relied on pets4homes and listing to make this purchase, but sadly quickly found them washing their hands, just like breeder, saying buyer beware and they have not responsibility at all for inaccurate, misleading and false listings. We paid £150 for financial transaction security, this is worthless in practice we found as having no vaccination they say invalidates their guarantee in listing that puppy was vaccinated- sharp practice I feel you’d not expect from a quality brand . Had we bought from seller direct we would of course have carried out far more due diligence, we relied on pets4homes as a responsible secure platform to give us security that the goods were fit for purpose and as described. No different than instead of buying a car from a unknown bloke in a dark pub car park you pay a premium at main dealer for their warranted car on forecourt- you don’t expect to have to check ownership, for hidden damage or verify mileage hadn’t been clocked! This puppy wasn’t as described. Do not waste your money using pets4homes, do not trust them or anything they say on site. I am genuinely astonished they take no responsibility whatsoever and try to point me to Atlanta Wilshire, a provable y dishonest and untrustworthy breeder to resolve this. Atlanta just throws out ever more desperate nonsense to avoid responsibility for appalling, reckless, potentially fatal, neglect and downright dishonesty. Shame on Pets4homes.
The worst page to found a pet! Better try others! They allow so many fakes and scam people this is unbelievable! And you can see that's this breeders have like 3 litters same time like Persian cats and dogs without license After reporting them, pets 4 home won't do anything about it...
Some breeders ask straight away for number phone and ask for money or just gives you wrong address if you refuse send them money, reporting and the pets at home still do NOTHING about it the fake add who gives us wring address while we drive 3h still there...we found a healthy pet on social media like ig and will don't recommend this scam page !
Allowing people to profit from 'exotic' kittens is despicable. I perused this site after being alerted to it by a neighbour. As a cat rescuer I despair at these people. We have an absolute crisis saving and rehoming cats, why would you encourage cruel 'breeds' for effect, which ultimately causes the poor cats a life of pain and suffering.
CRUELTY is never acceptable. I don't care if these people are the Pope, they've no right to breed cruelly for profit.
Wont be using the site again. Almost lost all of my money to a scammer even though i paid throughpets4homes secure payment system. Was questioned and called a liar when trying to get it back. And communication was awful with customer service. Will never use this site again
I requested a reservation and waited a full day for the seller to respond, who then mentioned I could collect the dog that day. I confirmed I could do that, provided I received a prompt reply with the address, and I wanted the seller to accept my reservation for payment through the platform. Unfortunately, I never heard back despite sending multiple messages. I filed a complaint with the platform and was told customer service would reach out to me, but all I received was a request for feedback on the nonexistent assistance. After a few more days, I lodged another complaint against the advertiser, only to find out they had closed the ad, suggesting the dog was likely rehomed. The seller claimed to have been breeding for four years, yet the dog was nearly five, leading me to believe they simply wanted to get rid of it. Additionally, the dog's vaccinations were not indicated as current. The platform claims to uphold a code of conduct for sellers but states they have no control over the ads since they aren't the ones selling. However, they do have control, as they process the payments. It appears that, similar to other platforms, consistently poor sellers are allowed to continue advertising since blocking them could impact their revenue.
As a long-time member of this platform, I have dedicated myself to searching for lost dogs and warning sellers about the risks of low-priced advertisements. I’m appalled that a fee is now required just to message others! I will not be subscribing. It’s disheartening that the platform doesn’t seem to recognize the dangers involved. I’ve helped many dogs find homes through this service, and it's sad to see that those who care are not valued. Shame on you.
