I am having to deal with pet screening as part of the leasing process at an apartment that I am very excited to move into and have already paid application fees for. I have assistance animals, went through the pet screening process, supplied a doctors note, then because of comments received went back to my doctor, received another doctors note and submitted it and pet screening comments were that they have called the dr and left a voicemail to verify. This letter is on the physicians letterhead with her signature detaining my needs and the need for my pets. This 3rd party service now expects a busy physician to call them back and verify that content she wrote in her letter is true?? This is ridiculous and feels like harassment for both myself And my physician. This is also holding me up from signing my lease, scheduling movers in advance, etc. all during Covid. I understand there is a job to do but this is overkill and making the situation extremely difficult and stressful. I have never had these issues anywhere else and doctors note detailing my medical conditions and needs with a doctors signature that is less than a week old should be more than enough to justify my needs.
Charges absurd prices to store a few rows of info about your pet in a database.Usually you will be forced to use this by a property management company that would rather pass the cost off to the tenants than develop a system to store it themselves.
