PetSmart is the one store where your dog truly feels like he/she is a member of the family!! My wife and 2 young daughters love to take Finster, our American Bulldog puppy to socialize with other dogs of all sizes, every Sunday. Finster gets excited when we pull into the strip mall that PetSmart is located in also!! It is a great opportunity for dogs of all sizes to "mingle". He also knows he is gonna get a toy of his choice to take home with him when we leave!! All of the staff are very friendly, and helpful if you have any questions you would like answered. It is truly a family experience when you walk through the automatic doors of PetSmart!!
I've stopped visiting my local pet store, even though I'd prefer to go there. Unfortunately, the staff never seem to approach customers to offer assistance. I've often had to search for an employee when I needed help, and this has happened too frequently. The store lacks a friendly and helpful atmosphere. I believe that working in a pet store should involve a genuine love for animals and a welcoming attitude towards their owners. On a positive note, I appreciate that we can bring our pets along, and the sales can be quite good.
I just got my order, which included a treat-dispensing rope dog toy. I quickly washed the plastic part with soap and rinsed it before giving it to my dog. She began playing with it but then started sneezing. I took it away from her since she usually doesn't sneeze with chew toys, so I'm a bit worried about the material or plastic used.
I arranged for my dog to receive a full grooming session, including nail trimming, a bath, paw shaving, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing. I was informed it would take about 2.5 to 3 hours, but I got a call to pick him up in less than 2 hours. When I inquired about how he did, the groomer simply said, "he did good." After paying $80 and returning home, I inspected my dog and noticed his paws were not trimmed, his nails were neither smoothed nor ground down, and they were left short, jagged, and splitting from a quick clip. I wasn't sure if his teeth were brushed either. His ears were still dirty and oily, indicating they hadn't been cleaned. I called the store back, but the groomer had already left for the day. The representative I spoke with mentioned they typically don't shave the paws of the breed, claiming it causes their hair to grow excessively. This was surprising, as my vet had never mentioned this about any breed. I had clearly paid for a comprehensive grooming service, but it seemed like they only completed the easiest tasks just to finish up and leave. I am very dissatisfied with the service provided at the location and the care my dog received. Although I wanted to share photos, I couldn't do so. I was told I could bring him back for the paw shaving, but driving 45 minutes to have services that should have been done initially feels unacceptable. I believe my dog was handled by inexperienced groomers lacking in professionalism, and I will not put my pet through this again.
My usual groomer was unavailable, so I tried a different stylist. I regret that decision… My dog was there for more than 4 hours and received an incredibly poor haircut. The way she trimmed his tail and mustache was just terrible!
I would give zero stars if that were an option. I purchased a brand new 75-gallon tank to start a saltwater reef. After acquiring 70 gallons of R/O saltwater, live sand, and live rock from a local pet store, I filled the tank only to discover a leak in the corner. I had to siphon all the water back into buckets and totes, remove the rock and sand, and return the tank to the store. Upon arrival, the staff seemed indifferent, and I had to prompt them for assistance. I explained my situation to the manager, expressing my frustration about the faulty tank, which was only 9 days old. I noticed a tag indicating the tank was sold by a month prior, but that didn't matter since it was unused. When I requested a replacement, the only option was another tank that also had a crack. I refused it, wanting a new tank, not a repair project. The manager's attitude shifted when I insisted on a resolution. Eventually, I found another set, but was told it wasn't available separately. After some back and forth, I was reluctantly allowed to take it, only to find yet another crack upon inspection. Frustrated, I opted for a refund. To my shock, they returned the broken tanks to the sales floor! I will not be returning to this location again. Extremely disappointed and cautioning others to beware.
The problem lies more with the delivery partners than the service itself. I advise against using this particular delivery option. Communication was lacking, as we reached out but received no response. The checkout process doesn't clarify how items will be delivered, and we prefer store pickup or standard shipping. Our order of training pads arrived carelessly, left out in the rain without proper packaging. Despite our attempts to communicate and even leaving a tip for the driver, the delivery experience was disappointing. If the item had been damaged, we would have sought a refund. Other platforms manage delivery better. On one occasion, a different driver was thoughtful enough to ensure the delivery was intact, earning them a generous tip. Unfortunately, the third-party drivers associated with this service fall short. While the overall rating for the service is commendable, their delivery aspect is lacking. There is a way to lodge complaints on their site, but no specific option for delivery issues. Two stars for the careless delivery and the unsatisfactory experience, especially since the item wasn't available for pickup.
I ordered a dog crate online on Friday and paid extra for next day delivery. As of Sunday, FedEx still shows it's "awaiting carrier pickup" and hasn't moved. I noticed a local store had some in stock, so I placed a pick-up order. After calling the store before making the 70-mile trip, I was informed they actually had none available. Neither the service nor the delivery team can provide any updates on my order or when I can expect the crate. I'm extremely dissatisfied!
I have an online account with a pet supply service that I use infrequently, mainly for snacks or sales. This morning, I discovered that I was enrolled in their membership plan, and if I hadn't received a notification, I would have been charged $79 for something I hardly use. -
It's advisable to regularly check your account to ensure you're not signed up for anything unless you want to be. I don’t remember signing up for any trial, but I’ll assume I did. That being said, it’s a definite no for me. -
Additionally, the last time I ordered, I set two items for auto-ship. I attempted to cancel that since I won't be needing those products, as they upset my dog's system. -
Be aware that you cannot remove your credit card, and I was only able to cancel one of the auto-ships; the other requires either replacing the item or “skipping once.” -
I don’t know about others, but that's a deal-breaker for me. I plan to delete my entire account and shop elsewhere. If I can't manage my own payment methods, then I'm done.
