I’ve used Pictory before, and it’s great to see how much it has improved, especially the AI voice quality. The team was very responsive and helped me find a Professional plan that fit my budget, unlike other companies I reached out to. Pictory’s text-to-video tool is simple, fast, and easy to use, which is perfect for someone managing multiple projects. Overall, it’s a user-friendly platform with excellent customer support that truly cares about continuous improvement.

Pictory.ai is massively overpriced for what it offers. The generated videos are poor quality, often inaccurate, and require a lot of manual fixing — which defeats the purpose of using AI in the first place.

Key features like API access are locked behind the most expensive subscription, making it completely unrealistic for small businesses or developers. This isn’t mentioned clearly upfront.

On top of that, cancelling is intentionally frustrating. You’re forced to go through around 10 pointless questions just to cancel, which feels like a dark pattern designed to make users give up.

Overall, bad value for money, weak output quality, and an unpleasant user experience.

The support experience was extremely disappointing. They ask you to "stay online and we will be with you shortly," but after 25 minutes, you find that this is untrue. After repeatedly prompting the chatbot, it claims to have forwarded your request to the support team, assuring you they will reach out. All I wanted was to update my email address, and they insisted I must transfer all my projects and create a new account. Really? That's absurd. I then decided to cancel my subscription and request a refund of $216 for the remaining 9 months of my 12-month plan. They refuse to accommodate that. Once they have your money, it's essentially lost. What kind of policy is this? If a customer no longer wishes to use the service, why should they still be charged? Such practices suggest they are struggling for revenue because the service is lacking. Avoid this and proceed with caution.

Initially hesitant, but now impressed with the service.

Initially, I had my doubts about the service. Recently, I decided to give it another shot and learned to navigate it better. The platform is quite engaging. The scene editor and other tools are user-friendly. The visual feature offers high-quality videos and a wide range of options. One thing I would like to see is an easier way to locate previous videos or images in the visuals section. The 'Add to Favorite' feature doesn't seem to function properly. Additionally, it would be helpful if every image or video in a scene had an identifier in the timeline. This way, if I want to use one in other projects, I could easily search for it in visuals. Overall, while the service isn’t perfect, I plan to explore it further. In general, I am quite satisfied.

I purchased Pictory AI on AppSumo at Tier 3 - the highest level, specifically because it was sold as a lifetime deal. Yet now, my account suddenly shows as expired, and I’m being forced to pay for a subscription just to access the features I already paid for!This is dishonest and unacceptable business practice. When a company promotes a lifetime deal, customers expect lifetime access, not a bait-and-switch that locks you out months or years later.I reached out for support and found zero accountability. Instead of fixing the issue or honoring their promise, Pictory is pushing users to migrate to their paid plans, leaving early supporters stranded.It’s deeply disappointing to see how Pictory has handled this: no transparency, no respect for existing customers, and no integrity. Many AppSumo users like me helped this company gain traction early on, and this is how we’re treated.If you’re considering investing in Pictory, think twice. A company that doesn’t honor its commitments cannot be trusted with your time or money.Verdict: ★☆☆☆☆Stay away until they make things right for lifetime tier holders.

Do not waste your money

Do not waste your money. I paid for it, it glitches out and didn't work at all. I found something thay did work.i asked for a refund because i used it for two hours trying to complete a project and wasted my time and money. I asked for a refund and got a bunch of ai emails back not answering my questions at all. Of course, I didn't get the refund. I'd give 0 stars if I could

Good, but limited stock videos for my use-case

It's awesome, don't get me wrong, but you guys need waaaaaaaaaaaay more stock videos. Way more.I know you have a lot, but maybe then it's just the type of videos I generate. I need more fintech, crypto, business and abstract concept-related videos that have to do with AML/ATF compliance, its probably why it seems limited for me.

I have sent 10 emails and tried to contact them many times, and I have not gotten any answer. I don't recommend this platform, as if you have a problem with the subscription, nobody is going to answer.
