I bought a car in november from a very posh looking dealership PINKSTONES TOYOTA IN STOKE and upo

I bought a car in november from a very posh looking dealership PINKSTONES TOYOTA IN STOKE and upon arrival to take a drive after driving over a hour to get there I was told to wait for a sales advisor who will help me . I got there at 2pm and sales advisors Ben and jake come to see me at 4pm SOME 2 HOURS LATER to take me for a test drive and if it wasn't for me begging my wife to come with me to get her opinion and us coming all that way I would have told them to #### off .but I took the test drive in the middle of rush hour at 4 30 in stoke which wasn't ideal so i only took it for a short drive .I liked it it and the colour was the one I wanted so a bought it with a years warranty for £13000 so I agreed to pay for it there and then and have it delivered 2 week after because there were some bits needed to be done on it so at 6.30pm I finally left the showroom to drive home .they didn't contact me at all for the payment or sort the tax or even to tell me the car was ready as we needed them to send me a walk round video of the car and wot had been repaired .but no I had to call them every few days to check everything was fine even to the 2nd to last day of it being delivered I stressfully had ring ben them to ask if they had done the video as I wasn't paying till I knew everything was done.so on the day b4 it was being delivered I had to ask him again to send me the walk round video of the car this was at 12 30pm which wasn't done as he was away so he had to ring jake at the branch who then hurriedly did a walk round video .I should have had disabled tax discount but everything was so unprofessional on there part that I couldn't be bothered to ask again .i also had to ask for all the service books and receipts for work done to the car as this should been automatically shown to me as should I also have been informed that there were no updates available for that year of car anymore 2017 , ie all map updates etc which I thought they should have informed me of as i wouldnt have bought the car or everything else ...which i will come to later .the day of delivery arrived and a nice gentleman delivered my new car ,I was happy with it BUT the black plastic plastic engine cover was missing and so were the car mats ? But I had took photos of the car b4 I bought it so I knew they were on and in it .when the driver left I didn't realise he had accidently picked my mobile phone up and took it back to stoke with him,so I had to take half a day off work trying to find it at which point my wife had got a call to say it was at pinkstones at stoke and they would deliver it back that evening ,I assumed it would be after work ...not at 9pm ?
They apologised and offered me a full tank of fuel for the lost tome at work ,which was meager as I my wages were more than that ! .they replaced my mats after a few days of me calling them but they couldn't replace my engine cover as it wasn't produced on that year so they said it must have been an after market part and it was £140 !! So they wouldn't replace it even though it was on the car and I sent them photos to prove ?? Then my hands free wouldn't connect ? and I didn't realise until afterward the the app system couldn't be updated on that model anymore so I couldn't connect apple play or samsung play for any of the apps so basically the screen is just for me to see wot station I'm listening to and reversing it !! I rang Ben to tell him and he said he would pick my car up and borrow me his car (out of the goodness of his heart bless him ) Ben tried to connect his phone and his wouldn't work EVEN on his way into stoke ,anyway there team looked at it and couldn't find a fault. after Ben delivered it back it worked ONCE !!so I rang him and sent him a video of it not working .he said I would have to bring it back to stoke so there top tech guy could look at it and I could use one of there hire cars ,this was few days b4 xmas so he said he would contact me after the new year to book it in. its the 1st February tomorrow and stil lno call absolutely crap aftercare and even snotty emails from them after I told them to respond to my emails ,they only seemed to answer my calls probably because there is no trail on a phone call ? Please pinkstone toyota if u have any angels working there that could help and get back to me I would be grateful.and I'm sorry if the aftercare team are getting a earful it's probably warranted and the sales staff it feels is if I'm a second hand citizens because I only paid £13000 for a car I should have done through pcp then I would have had no problem returning it . My whole buying experience has been horrible from such a big company like toyota and it's left a bad taste in my mouth I don't even like driving it anymore 😢 which is depressing after spending £13000 as the features and spec that should have been in the car like simple handsfree doesn't work .I just thought that my first buying experience should have been a bit more elevated and not ... a bit more back boiler and sadly unimportant .

Tell it as it is!
Travelled from N. Ireland to buy a Toyota and whole experience was first class.

Travelled to mainland UK from N Ireland after having spoken to Mark a salesman reference a Toyota BZ4X. Was picked up at train station by Mark and allowed all the time I needed to check the car over in detail with no one looking over my shoulder or trying to bulls*** me. After a good test drive and every detail of the car explained, including history and features I decided to buy. Mark knew his product and answered every question I had. The transaction was an easy experience and Mark even took me to the post office to tax the car. I travelled to the ferry that evening and arrived home next day. Mark made a follow up call with me to see if everything was OK. I deliberately have waited a while before writing a review to see if I needed any after sales problems sorted. To date there have been no issues with the car, so I can’t comment on this service. Overall a pleasant experience with a dealer and sales man that were professional in every way. Would not hesitate to recommend on my experience with Pinkstones.

GOOD EXPERIENCE OVERALL

Finally found the car we wanted at PINKSTONES MG hundreds of miles away and a real dilemma whether to buy without seeing in real life. Botan dealt with us throughout, glad we could also part xchange our very old car, kept communicating throughout,he made a video for us so we could actually see condition inside and outside of the car, he showed the couple of flaws and advised how he would get them dealt with, even made sure there was enough petrol in the car. The guy called us on his day off same day of the impending delivery to advise of the time, thats dedication!!! From Everything at the start to finish went well, price of the car we bought on comparison was much lower than seen elsewhere like for like.A big thankyou to BOTAN at Pinkstones MG

Smooth transaction

Smooth transaction, all done over the phone and e mail, delivered car to my door and took old one away. Steve the salesman was helpful and patient throughout. Rang the dealership a few times and the phone was always answered immediately.

Appalling, unprofessional attitude and customer service

Saw a great priced car online and popped own to see it. Kept waiting by salesman for way too long whilst at least 3 of his colleagues ignored us. Tried to get a part exchange price but fobbed off. Paid deposit to secure the new car even though it wasn't available to drive although it was in the compound. Chased for updates for approximately 5 weeks whilst they could not sort out replacement keys so we could actually drive car!!! Other staff blatantly lied about what was happening, where the salesman was, when he would ring ring blah blah. Not an experience you expect when purchasing a new car. Eventually asked for a refund and even had to go back to dealership the following week whilst they processed it there and then. Happy to buy a new car elsewhere locally 2 days after test driving. Good luck if you should buy a car from there and need it fixing.......you will need it. Shame there is not an option for 0 stars.

Terrible from start to finish and given…

Terrible from start to finish and given the run around. From the very day we were to collect the car we were rushed to pick it up on a certain day, when we arrived car wasn't ready and we had to wait 3 days before the car was agreed ro be delivered to us. Although we were made to wait around with our small child, due to their incompetence had missed her nap. Was told the car needed work done and also needed cleaning! Why wasn't this done before. Following which shortly after the car started making noises, it's an uphill struggle to even get hold of their service team and the customer service is extremely poor. They make promises they can't keep and then don't have the common courtesy to let you know they are not sticking to their own plans and leave you waiting around all day. Never their fault always somebody else's. Head office needs to carry out some customer service training and make sure that things are running much smoother than they are. 0 rating for the experience to date! Take your money elsewhere.

Do Not Take your custom to this dealership

Absolutely shocking service from start to finish. I was sold a car with two faulty tyres – completely unacceptable and downright dangerous. Under their so-called 30-day guarantee, I was made to do a 180-mile round trip, only to find out that the car they’d “reserved” for me had been sold. Instead, they tried to fob me off with another car the salesman already knew I didn’t want. The manager showed zero accountability, offered no compensation for my wasted time and money, and clearly couldn’t care less about customer service. This dealership is untrustworthy, unprofessional, and treats its customers with total disregard. If you value your safety, time, and money, avoid this place at all costs.

Ashleigh - parts department - superstar!

Last week I made several calls to local companies to source a missing oil filter cap for my Toyota (long story). As a long shot I called Pinkstones to see if they could help me. I spoke to Ashleigh in the parts department who enquired for me and then offered for me to call back if I wasn't successful elsewhere. We were due to travel to Norfolk that morning to celebrate a family members special birthday so I was distraught at this point. After trying another car parts business and being unsuccessful again, I called back and spoke to Ashleigh. He went above and beyond to get me an oil filter cap , taking one off a car they had in stock. He was polite and professional and saved the day. By lunchtime he had sorted the part for me and we were able to make our journey. I am truly grateful for his help , he is a credit to you and an asset as an employee. His customer service was exceptional. Thank you again Ashleigh. I have now booked my Toyota service with you in October as I am so impressed.

Standards are slipping at Toyota

Standards are slipping at Toyota. The warranties on new cars are a joke. (You never used to need one with a Toyota but sadly this is no longer the case.)Do yourself a favour and buy a Honda instead!
