Service for 24 months was fine to be fair. My issue is that as soon as my 24 month contract ended my mo they billing shot up by £15.
This ended up costing me £90. Why do Plusnet or other companies feel it's justified to exploit a normal working person, who's just trying to get buy financially, by taking an extra £15 per month for the exact same service was costing them £30 previously.
Left them now and going to another provider.

Installation Issues and Poor Service Experience

The installation process on a Wednesday was far from smooth. Four individuals were assigned to the task, but they informed me that an engineer would need to assist later due to an issue they couldn't resolve. When the engineer arrived, he managed to get the broadband functioning. However, after his departure, I noticed a scorch mark on my carpet, and I'm unsure if it was caused by him or the previous installers. The following night, while I was at work, my daughter messaged me saying the broadband had stopped working. She reached out to the helpline and learned that an engineer could only come out on Monday. After having only about 28 hours of functioning broadband, we now faced a wait of three full days for assistance. It's Sunday, and I am uncertain about what tomorrow holds, but I am leaning towards cancelling the service since I am still within my 14-day contract period. Honestly, I am eager to part ways. The service has been disappointing, and I cannot recommend it.

They were once a shining example of excellent customer service, but things changed after the acquisition. The quality of service has been declining steadily since then. I recently renewed my contract after 15 years with the service, upgrading to 145mb/s. The lowest speed recorded was 142! My old contract was approximately £30 per month, while the new one is £23. I've had very few issues, all promptly resolved by the friendly and knowledgeable support team. If you're in South Cheshire, you won't be let down. The negative reviews appear to come from those who tend to complain frequently. This is one of the top choices for home internet, and the local support staff is easy to communicate with!

Government inaction on scams

Why is there no action from the government against such a fraudulent company? They are scamming countless individuals, and it seems no one is addressing this issue. The negative reviews clearly highlight their poor service and their tendency to take money without delivering proper service. It's time for this company to shut down.

Regrettable choice

I really don't want to give even one star. This internet provider has been the worst we've ever encountered. The internet frequently crashes and is often down. When I call, all I hear is, 'There is an issue. It could take up to 5 days to fix.' There's absolutely no assistance. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company.

Frustrating compensation process

The compensation scheme is completely frustrating. I had to reach out to get credited, and they only compensate for service loss months later. It feels like adding insult to injury since they continue billing the full amount during outages and don’t account for the initial days of service disruption. Be sure to read your contract closely.

Once great, now terrible

We've been customers for about 6 years. Initially, the service was excellent, but it has now become the worst. For some inexplicable reason, it has deteriorated into a frustrating experience. Every time we try to pay the bill, we encounter major issues. Recently, while watching TV, it constantly buffers. If multiple devices are used at the same time, the service slows down significantly. I can assure you of two things: 1) this service is subpar, and 2) there are better and cheaper options available. DO NOT SIGN WITH THEM! You will regret it!
