I found myself having to act as the POA for my brother and as his health declined, the intricacies of his legal matters intensified. I was overwhelmed because I had no idea that my brother’s affairs were in such a complex ‘pickle’. Sadly, he was in no fit state to help me navigate the issues. Zoe Gaitskell was recommended to me and from the off, Zoe was highly professional and soon clarified all of the legal issues I had to deal with - just having that clarification was a relief in itself for me. With Zoe’s help, guidance, advice I have just heard that all of these matters have finally come to a close. I feel completely confident that things are as they should be. I must say that the other party did not co-operate at all and although this dragged the cases on, Zoe always kept me up to date and also never hesitated to ensure that I knew all the options available to me. I would also like to say that Zoe was there for me when I was in tears - she never brushed my emotional times aside, but always gave me space and time to ‘let it all out’ without me feeling ashamed to do so. I would also like to mention Jackie Bandyszewski, Zoe’s Legal Secretary, who was kind and patient - I got muddled sometimes!
