My experience with Progressive during a recent auto claim was extremely frustrating. After my vehicle was hit in a parking lot, I promptly submitted a certified body shop estimate and repeatedly requested an in-person inspection. Instead of timely action, my claim was closed without explanation and my requests for email communication were ignored. The initial estimate provided by Progressive was significantly lower than a certified repair facility’s assessment. Communication from the adjuster was dismissive and unhelpful, requiring multiple follow-ups just to receive basic updates. Although they eventually acknowledged my formal letter, the overall handling lacked transparency, responsiveness, and professionalism. You can get several estimates from many body shops which will not bring to any result as they have their own table of labour costs and time frame which are unreal in todays reality.

Didn’t really have a problem with them…

Didn’t really have a problem with them until the renewal rate skyrocketed up in price. Had auto pay. I paid my premium, received a “paid in full” email, so I told them I was switching companies and did not want the auto pay to renew my policy. After that then they send me another bill because of cancelling my auto pay Well Progressive, good luck with that. It may only be $15 but it’s the principle. Send it to a collection agency. No matter to me.

The absolute worst insurance company

The absolute worst insurance company. Milking costumers. I am the owner of two vehicles a 2002 BMW and a 2009 Ford Econoline. Not one accident, no tickets, not even a dwi. I am over 65 years old. These extortioners are charging me close to $200 a month for minimum coverage. Then even have the ball to charge me late fees and reinstatement fees. My vehicles are over 20 years old. I truly wish there were lawyers who would take an extortion case. US senior citizen vs progressive . The absolute biggest rip off.

Have had progressive for 12 years have…

Have had progressive for 12 years have consistently gone up, year after year, car gets hit while parked along with 2 other vehicles, at fault driver is also progressive.. and denied me a rental they have known for 2 weeks car was a total loss but refuse to pay me out! And are prioritizing a competitors clients! Absolutely ridiculous! Already have quotes and will be leaving wouldn’t recommend progressive at all

The extent of this data sharing was not clearly disclosed, and I had no meaningful way to opt out. This experience felt deceptive and intrusive.

Worse Car Insurance in the market!

Let me start by saying that progressive is one of the worse insurance compacies you can be with! one of his clients hit my car last month i had pictures of the guy that hit me also a police report and lot of pictures of his car & my car as well! they said they will investigate and send someone over to check my car! the lady came over and verified my car was hit by his car and told me she saw where he hit my car and the insurance comapny was going to take care of the claim 26-567310521. i got a message today by text, they didnt even bother to call me! says this! rememeber they had all pictures of the damge of my car their cliets car and all that! they told me they needed a video to prove he damaged my car!! for reals! i also sent them 3 videos of the guy coming back to my office to check the car out and took off! he did that for a week after the accident.STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!BCR5:52 PM (0 minutes ago)to meGood afternoon, after reviewing all available evidence for the claim we have determined that our insured is not at fault for the accident. If you have any additional evidence to provide in the future such as police reports or surveillance footage we are happy to review the liability decision. Progressive Ins will wreck your life.

Update 2/3/2026:I finally got ahold of a wonderful soul with Progressive who helped me. She steered me in the right direction, and which paper to sign and submit. I did that, and it will take them TWO WEEKS to "review" one document that excludes a driver. So I'm still not out of the woods yet. -LexisNexis Risk Solutions is who did this. I emailed them and heard nothing back. ----My consumer tip for the day: PLEASE check your insurance if you have roommates. One of mine had a accident Dec 23, and the insurance company has added him, and his claim, to MY insurance, and tripled my rate. I can't afford to pay that ... so I'm about to lose my car. He made a statement to me "now I can get money to fix my car," then I got notification of this garbage move by the insurance company. -I don't want this to happen to ANYONE else!! I want EVERYONE out there to understand that this CAN happen!! There's nothing you can do about it. Insurance companies like Progressive can do whatever they want, and wreck your whole life, without ONE CARE. -I don't like posting my laundry out here, not looking for any sympathy ... I just want the whole public to be aware!!! Pass it on, because I'm finding out this happens WAYYY more than we know. -All they have to do is notify you in email, and if it goes to spam, you don't see it, they say "Oo she/he didn't respond." So boom. -That didn't happen to me. I TALKED to adjusters, mine is crap. Only heard from her ONCE. Despite all the proof I gave them, plus a stellar driving record, they did this to me anyway, and REMOVED my safe driving from my policy. --Progressive Insurance is wrecking my whole life, and at 63 that's not good.

Horrible help with Hurricane damaged…

Horrible help with Hurricane damaged vehicle windshields ... 4 Hurricanes and they tell me the sand pits in the glass come from wear and tear. REALLY ????? I never had this before being slammed left and right by hurricanes throwing sand 65-110 mph for over 48 hours each storm. Screw you Progressive Im done!You take peoples money then put them through the mill for help. Another Crap Corporation out to F u over. Check your laws Statues cover replacement of windshields even with Deductible...No Charge. Love, your bottom feeder person who pays on time everytime with NO record at all of speeding or an accident or a claim EVER...

Questions questions questions!

When online I was actually on the phone for an hour and 42 minutes. Repetitive questioning and questions that I didn't have exact date for at that time that I would not have correct dates for. And the clerk or whoever answer the phone did not understand what exactly I wanted I wanted a bundle with my house and my auto.how hard is that?
