Review Time
Just had a very unsettling experience with the corner shop in the title. They did not scan the QR code provided when I arrived but insisted on seeing orig email rather than reminder received that day - both with QR code. The atmosphere was not right & when I asked if my bag would be safe, the retort was “You can always complain”. Afterwards I came across numerous bad reviews of their price gouging & other dodgy practices - including demanding a commission for luggage collection. I could not relax & collected my bag hours earlier than intended & was worried if I would even get it back as there was no proof of drop off.Sure enough I was hassled for a “commission” & the general atmosphere towards a single woman by the three older male staff was utterly disrespectful. They laughed when I told them I would complain. I now learn that Radical Storage itself is unreliable / subject to scammers so will not use them again. After flying in from a great trip last night, this has been an unpleasant experience to end my holiday - and through no fault of mine having paid in good faith.
Yesterday we booked with radical 3 bags for five days. 83 euros! Today we go to drop off. Closed til August 23. Very sketchy neighborhood in Rome but passerby said "you're probably okay during the day.after 30 mins in 90+ heat they send us to another place. Address was wrong an first time we asked one place they said no. Then we came back and yeah. Gruff guy says scan bags. "Wait where is the storage?" Leave here he says in aisle of convenience store. I had to argue him to show me the storage area. Finally he says "you go look " ( in the basement);it's their stock room with door left open all the time and cardboard nap spots of staff. No locker, closet. Nothing. We tell him cancel. " Contact customer service!;they say he scanned your bags. Policy no refund. The cust serv guy in Viet nam is asking his boss. I am waiting. And I lost 60 euros on taxi there and back. A complete disaster. So frustrating. The pinnacle of sloppiness, lack of care, petty money grabbing, disorganisation, empty apologies while they grab your money. Avoid like the plague, at least in Rome.
