Review Time
Bought a bookshelf off them December 28 2025, still waiting up to this day February28, 2026, been emailing them for weeks and I still get no update or tracking, all I get is they will come back to me once they have an update. I got sick of waiting so I rang them. I was told that the item is out of stock and yet on the website its in stock and 12 more left. I asked for a cancellation and a refund as i can't wait anymore. I still haven't got a confirmation that they're processing my refund. Don't buy from them unless you're willing to wait for months.
Worst Company EVER!
Placed an order on the 2nd of January which stated the dispatch would be 72hrs. After 3weeks and no dispatch I cancelled my order. I am still waiting on a refund 2MONTHS LATER!!!
I ring twice a week. They tell me its been passed to the finance team and they will escalate my query. Still nothing!
There is nobody to speak to in the finace team. My items came to 700euro so its not a small amount of money! Really awful company. What are they doing with everyones money???
Im left with no option but to take my case to the small claims court, which is something that shouldnt have to be done! They are basically stealing people's money!!!!

Ordered a bed in October, 1 of only 2 boxes arrived and other box went missing, half a bed is useless. We requested a refund, nothing happened had to call again and wait a hour to speak to someone as no one answers emails. DPD collected box early January still pending a refund 8 weeks later. Called again today to be told nothing has been processed but will give accounts a nudge! No external comms regarding the process just whenever they feel like it I guess! Appalling customer service and experience AVOID AVOID AVOID
Jean P went above and beyond tp help me change my booking and also ensured that I was sent a confirmation email. She was so very helpful and understanding on the phone.
I ordered fire wood from Rathwood in early November for delivery scheduled at the end of November. Apparently due to supply issues the order could not be executed until end of December and hence I cancelled the order. To note that I had to find out myself after numerous calls that the delivery would be delayed and no proactive communication from the company. In any case I received confirmation that refund would be issued at the end of November. To date, 25th February I still have not received a refund, despite numerous calls to the Rathwood offices. This is appalling behaviour and customer service. I must now consider to go down the legal route to recover my money.
I placed an order for kiln dried timber on the 29th June 2025 with delivery scheduled for 10th August 2025. It never came, I phoned for an explanation and was informed that they were having issues with a supplier, the date was pushed out to end of October, then kept getting delayed. I asked for a refund, I keep getting excuses and still no refund (Feb 2026) recently Rathwood requested my IBAN so they could refund me, just more lies and time wasting I still have not received my refund of €312.08.
My advise is to forget Rathwood, poor customer service, poor attitude, no respect, constantly lying and delaying. The worst kind!!!!
Terrible customer service experience. My order was cancelled due to “no stock,” yet the product continued to appear available online. After more than a month, I am still waiting for my refund.
I have contacted customer support several times and keep being told the issue is escalated, but there has been no resolution or proper follow-up. Very frustrating and disappointing experience.
This is Absolutely disgraceful !!! Ordered furniture back in September to br delivered for Christmas. Got an email in October tgat the furniture I paid for is no longer available. I ask for money back and after few phone calls I was advised not to ring or text them again as every time I do it im getting back at the end of the queue for refund 😥
Got email from trust pilot. Provided all information about the purchase. Than I was advised that I get refunded (15th of January) still no money !!!!!!! Im feeling sick to stomach. No furniture for Christmas, no money back. Now we have family coming for my daughter Confirmation and still no furniture or money. Im feeling helpless!!!! This company is absolutely disgraceful!!! Took my money and ....I would call that scam !!!!! Dont know what else to do!!! Local newspaper might be the answer 😭😭😭😭
I’m really happy with the bed overall — it’s a very cool design, feels almost like a small single bed, and my toddler loves it. The built-in light is a lovely touch, and it’s also surprisingly easy to assemble and disassemble, which is a big plus.
There were some delivery issues: I paid extra for delivery, but the order was split into two parcels and only one arrived initially, while the second wasn’t even scheduled. That part was frustrating.
However, I want to highlight the excellent support from Jean P. She replied within about half an hour, offered a refund for the inconvenience, and contacted the delivery company directly. Thanks to her help, the missing parcel arrived the very next day. The issue was handled quickly and professionally, which really made a difference.
Because of the delivery problems I’m not giving a full 5 stars, but the product itself is great and the customer service was genuinely impressive. I would definitely order again.
Following on from a previous review and continued calls to customer service department that answer calls and tell you they are escalating the complaint without any follow up, I am now waiting on my refund for over 2 weeks outside the legal limit of 14 days. I appreciate Rathwood will answer this review with their automated response but surely there must be another avenue available to myself and the multitude of customers, who are out of pocket as a result of this company's actions and inability to adhere to legal obligations?
