Disappointing Experience, Critical Features Missing

Disappointing Experience, Critical Features MissingWe implemented RepairDesk expecting a reliable platform to manage appointments, workflow, inventory, and customer communication for a multi-store repair operation.Unfortunately, several functionalities that we consider fundamental were either unavailable, unstable, or required additional licensing. These were not advanced customizations — they were baseline operational requirements for any serious repair business.Key issues we experienced:Customers were able to book repairs even when required spare parts were out of stock, creating operational conflicts and poor customer experience.No proper email validation during booking, allowing fake or malicious appointments to block time slots.Difficulty fully blocking non-working days and holidays.Appointment date inconsistencies within the system.Widget not available in Spanish, despite operating in a Spanish-speaking market.Store location errors appearing in appointment confirmations.Limited customization of customer-facing estimates/quotations.These issues were documented and communicated. However, responses were slow, and many concerns remained unresolved while the platform was already live.For small shops with very basic needs, the system may be sufficient. For multi-location operations requiring operational control, inventory synchronization, and reliable appointment management, our experience was disappointing.We ultimately decided to discontinue use due to unresolved core functionality gaps.
