Review Time
We are enjoying our window feeder. The birds have figured it out and take turns eating. We had some difficulty attaching the suction cups, especially on a cold window. The angle was tricky, requiring a step ladder to secure them. Once in place, it’s been fantastic!
Unfortunately, this bird feeder, despite its high cost, has turned out to be ineffective. It's beautifully made from quality materials, but with only two openings, it's nearly impossible for birds to access the seeds with the plastic cover on. After two weeks, there were no visitors, even with other feeders filled. I eventually took off the plastic, but then the seeds spilled whenever a bird came near. The final issue was when one of the perches got stuck. I wish I could return it. This has been my worst purchase in years.
The new upgraded Version 2 of the bird feeder has several enhancements over the prior model, making it an easy choice to upgrade for my new home and garden. I left the old model behind for the birds. Ordering was simple, and the quick delivery had the feeder ready in no time... just waiting for the birds! So far, only a lone Robin.
Sorry to tell you - this (very expensive) bird feeder is simply hopeless. Beautifully made from quality materials, but .... only two outlets, and almost inaccessible to the birds with the 'seed' plastic in place. No birds in two weeks despite not refilling all the other feeders. Eventually removed the plastic bit, but then the seed just cascaded out if a bird accessed it.The final straw was when one of the perches jammed shut.Just sorry I can't return it ....Worst purchase on Amazon in years.Jim Hutton
