Review Time
I purchased a bird feeder which arrived in its retail box without outer packaging of any kind and had the transit label stuck directly onto the box of the item. Purchased as a gift I would have preferred the item to have been dispatched with some other outer packaging to prevent this from happening. When raised with Customer Service they initially took 5 days to reply and were then quick to refer me to T&C (which cite environmental priorities for this). I found this unhelpful and decided not to return the item, which I'm sure will be fine. Just beware if you intend to offer your purchase as a gift, as it may well have the transit sticker slapped on the box.
Sorry to tell you - this (very expensive) bird feeder is simply hopeless. Beautifully made from quality materials, but .... only two outlets, and almost inaccessible to the birds with the 'seed' plastic in place. No birds in two weeks despite not refilling all the other feeders. Eventually removed the plastic bit, but then the seed just cascaded out if a bird accessed it.The final straw was when one of the perches jammed shut.Just sorry I can't return it ....Worst purchase on Amazon in years.Jim Hutton
I bought the arch window feeder for my mum. Didn’t choose gift wrap option as was wrapping her gifts at home. She lives 200 miles away & I am visiting her soon so wanted to take this with me. When it arrived the packaging was completely damaged & ripped - tbh it looks like it has already been taped up & re-used before. I can’t give it to her in this state as it looks like it has been used & shabby. I have been refused a replacement as it I didn’t choose the ‘gift wrap option’. It wasn’t clear that this option meant an outer protective covering. Customer service was terse & uncompromising -instead of giving me an option to return it for the gift wrapped option if that is the only way to receive something undamaged. Even better make it v clear what that means when ordering.
