I purchased the salter chocolatier Xmas 2024(just over a year ago). Won’t turn on. There is a 1 year manufacturers warranty but under consumer law should clearly be lasting longer than this. Have contacted retailer(Robert dyas) and salter directly. I will update re my experience in due course

I wanted to upgrade my airfryer to a PFAS (forever chemical) free option. The Salter Verticook was by far the best value for money and it is easy to use, easy to clean and cooks food beautifully. What more can you need. I especially like the 'synch finish', where both trays can be set to finish together.

Invested in quality cutlery…

Invested in quality cutlery, but unfortunately, the product was not dishwasher safe as claimed. Reported the issue to the company, but they won’t assist without a receipt. Who keeps a receipt for more than two months after buying smaller items? Very disappointing; I won't purchase from them again.

Decent service, poor coffee grinder

The rechargeable coffee grinder was of very poor quality; it does a terrible job of grinding coffee beans, so I will return it for a refund. However, the service from the company has been impeccable so far.

This company does not honor faulty products

The scales broke after one day due to an obvious display fault. They were a gift, so I don’t have the receipt. The retailer won’t exchange without it, and the company refused their consumer obligations despite evidence of the fault and original packaging. I won't buy from them again. Response to the company: You did not assist. You claimed you had no obligation and suggested I lack consumer rights on electricals. You refused to exchange the faulty product despite my evidence.

Hazardous. Avoid at all costs

Purchased a sandwich maker for my partner as a Christmas gift. The lid didn't close properly, resulting in a burn on my hand. The plastic latch broke. While it was inexpensive, it turned out to be quite dangerous. You heat it up, insert the sandwich, but it doesn’t close unless you wiggle it, which leads to burns. Returned it. Good riddance.
