We arrive at Hanoi on Feb 11. And went straight to bus for Sapa. We are a group of 13 persons. The whatsupp communication is okay. Provided detailed information. The driver of the bus is average. Not that friendly or should I say don't answer properly. So it's okay because of communication barriers.
Ground staff is okay at office before boarding the bus.
We went back to Sapa to Hanoi Feb 14. Thankfully they drop us off our hotel. But the problem, when my colleague left her phone and we are running and waiving at the bus while doing its baking on the road. He didnot even bother to stop even I tap the bus. Thankfully vietnamese people at the govt office and owner of air Bnb help us by calling Sapa nomad office and the owner of air Bnb got the lost phone back.
I just want to say drivers are not that professional in terms of communication. Driving is average.
Still, we love our vietnam experience and hoping that tourism will be as good as Japan in terms of service. 🇻🇳 ❤️...
Hoping to come back again...

Ms Ha helped me amend my booking to ensure I arrived at the best time for my trip - that was super helpful and eased my stress when planning longer trips. I found the sleeper bus to be very clean, quiet and slept the entire journey from Hanoi to Sapa. I had no issues at all other than the bus leaving 10-15 minutes later which is to be expected considering they transport a large number of guests!
They made our entire hanoi trip fantastic from day1. The booking team, the tour guides and drivers were so amazing and the bus service from n to sapa was great as well. Very comfortable. And the customer care support was great even before the trip started and post the trip as well. They made vietnam a great experience. Would highly recommend. Very value for money. Gave me good discounts as well.
I chose their tour randomly. It turned out much over expectations as i watched up with an enthusiastic guide who told a lot about ethnic customs through observing on the trail. Supported on real-time constancy by Sapa Nomad customer care after booking, you could not feel more being welcomed anywhere else. So appreciate that. Definitely introduce Nomad to my friends and reach out to them in my next trips back in Sapa🥰
UPDATE: The CEO of Sapa Nomad contacted us directly to apologize for our poor experience. She explained that our feedback prompted her to review and revamp her operations, taking concrete steps to ensure that no other customer has a similar experience. We appreciate her accountability and willingness to address the unacceptable performance of her staff. ____________________________________________________________DO NOT RECOMMEND! DO NOT RISK YOUR LIFE!One of the most reckless and terrifying travel experiences of my life. Our first trip with Sapa Nomad was fine; the driver was professional and provided us with amenities. The second trip was totally opposite and nearly ended in disaster. We paid a premium for a private overnight limo from Sapa to Ninh Binh specifically so we could sleep and avoid motion sickness. Instead, the driver arrived over an hour late with zero communication and no explanation.Shortly after departing, the driver pulled off the highway, stopped the vehicle, and immediately FELL ASLEEP — loudly snoring — for close to an hour and a half. When he resumed driving, he repeatedly nodded off, weaved in and out of the lane, and lost focus multiple times. We were forced to stay awake all night monitoring his driving because we genuinely feared we would be killed if we didn’t.We repeatedly asked him to pull over so HE could rest. We contacted Sapa Nomad mid-trip asking for a replacement driver. They did nothing. This was not a comfort issue. This was GROSS NEGLIGENCE and a serious SAFETY FAILURE. If we had fallen asleep, I am convinced we would not have survived the trip. This was the worst rideshare experience I have ever had, and it permanently damaged what should have been an otherwise perfect trip to Vietnam. What should have taken 7 hours took 10.SAPA NOMAD CLEARLY DOES NOT VET, MONITOR, OR ENFORCE BASIC SAFETY STANDARDS FOR ITS DRIVERS.DO NOT RECOMMEND. DO NOT RISK YOUR LIFE.
UPDATE: We were contacted directly from the CEO of Sapa Nomad. She apologized to us regarding our experience and reported she took steps to make sure this would not occur again. We appreciate her taking direct responsibility and hope this never occurs to other customers. DO NOT RECOMMEND! We recently booked 2 separate private drivers via Sapa Nomad for our Vietnam trip. The initial experience was great! However, the second ride was a NIGHTMARE. FYI, we chose the overnight drive from Sapa to Ninh Binh to maximize our time in Vietnam. 1. The driver came over an hour late without reaching out to us. We had to eventually reach out multiple times. 2. During the overnight drive, the driver stopped and slept 1.5 hours without communicating anything to us. This resulted in a SIGNIFICANT delay in our planned itinerary. 3. He was NOT SAFE to driver over night. The road was EMPTY, but he could not stay in the lane and kept veering! We had to stay up ALL NIGHT to ensure he was awake and alert! Even the trucks started passing us on the highway! We were able to communicate with Sapa Nomad’s during the drive, as we were TERRIFIED for our lives. But we were told to just continue with the same driver. THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AND REALLY FELT THREATENED FOR MY SAFETY. Due to the inconsistency in services between the first and second drive, I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
We booked our private car from Hanoi to Sapa through Martin, and the whole process was seamless. He was very attentive, provided us with a detailed confirmation, and even gave us useful tips for our Sapa trip once we learned that the weather wasn’t going to be great. For our return, we booked a sleeper bus from Sapa to Hanoi, and Martin went above and beyond — messaging us before boarding, checking in during the journey, and making sure we arrived safely. His level of care and attention made us feel like we had our own private tour guide, always providing clear and detailed information. We truly appreciate his excellent service and would strongly recommend Martin to anyone planning a trip to Sapa.
