Review Time
I am using scam detector as a simple user for a very long time and it saved me from scams several times. Now that I am an owner of a website stfzone.com, I reached them to re-evaluate my site and after giving them some facts, they immediately proceed to a new review that reflects the current state of my site.
scam-detector has incompetent research team members or if it is using AI it is a complete mess of nonsense. It seems to be itself a scam as it then takes the false information and tries to sell its services instead of correcting the information. They have been warned. My organization is a nonprofit not related to a previously closed game development company. They have been informed repeatedly to correct the information about the First Church of Druwayu, and all of its listings are in fact consistent, accurate and legal. It's NOT a scam. 08-22-2025Update: After writing them directly and submitting the cease and desist directly through their email and on three of their listed social links simultaneously with misrepresentation, they corrected the data pertaining to The First Church of Druwayu by 08-26-2025. If this is a phishing site we need to file a class action lawsuit. Enough with real scammers and data brokers!
Scam-detector.com is a scam website. They automate bad write-ups of websites and will only take them down if the website owners hand over personal information. This is extortion and a phishing attack. Just read how many reviews here show they’re posting incorrect scam assessments online. Their main business is to try and sell consumers malware under the guise of it being security software. Avoid this at all costs. Their website is registered in Puerto Rico to try and put it beyond legal jurisdictions, however I’m aware of at least two active investigations against them. Please know who you’re dealing with.
When customers search for a review of my website (which has been successfully operating for many years) scam detector advises that it's suspicious, and gives an extremely low trust score. It states that my domain has existed for less than a month, but my business has been operating on the same domain for 14 years! it also said that my site is controversial, high risk and unsafe and warned customers to stay away. As a verified Shopify shop owner with many years online and thousands of undisputed transactions , this malicious slandering of my legitimate small business website is criminal. Scam-detector itself is a dangerous site for any business owner, requesting significant amounts of documentation from business owners( with no promises of the security and privacy of the submitted information) in exchange for fixing your trust rating - this is nothing short of extortion
They gave my website a 58.5 score while tagging me in the hospitality category, when really my website is about digital marketing. They have rated their own site as 100 (insert obama medal meme here). At best they are making small businesses pay up to increase their rating(extortion). I would never check a dubious site like scam-detector for fraudulent checks, they are nothing but scam artists themselves.
I recently discovered that my company’s website has been incorrectly and unjustly listed on your platform. I want to make it absolutely clear that there is no evidence whatsoever of any wrongdoing or misconduct on our part. The claims made are completely unfounded and misleading.Publishing such unverified information not only misrepresents our business but also poses a serious risk to our reputation and credibility. We take this matter very seriously and respectfully request that the listing be thoroughly reviewed and removed as soon as possible.We are currently seeking legal council.
