Review Time
I purchased 2 clay kits totalling $178 on December 14, 2021 to be given as Christmas gifts. The company sent me a package that only had roughly half the items I ordered, not enough to salvage together a single gift from. I contacted their customer service to try and resolve the issue on December 23rd and it took them over a week to respond. I wouldn't have normally expected a quick reply during the holiday but since their company made the error, I hoped there would be some urgency to try and make it right. When I finally heard back, they tried to offer to send the missing pieces which would have arrived weeks after Christmas. At this point, all I wanted was my money back. I was told they would not issue any refund until the incomplete order was delivered back to them and a 14 day processing time had passed. I sent the items back on January 2nd.It's now February 6th and I have heard nothing from Scupld. When I email their customer service, I just get auto-replies that they are "experiencing higher than usual volume of emails". I feel like I basically loaned them $178 and may never see it again. I would never recommend this company to anyone and don't think they have any business selling items online if they are incapable of fulfilling orders or issuing refunds when they make any error.
Do not buy from here. Ordered on 12th Dec as a Xmas gift. No comms received re dispatch by 22nd, contacted company who reassured me Hermes system was slow to update and would receive it that day. Not received by Xmas- waste of my time and money and missing gift for relative. Avoid avoid avoid.
Wanted to get in to clay but a bit clueless, so I was happy when this kit was advertised to me. Pros - Easy to order, quick delivery, really great quality air dry clay, neatly & resourcefully packaged, makes starting off with clay quite approachable. Cons - Acrylic paint set wasn't of the same quality as other items ordered, only 2 projects in the 'pottery guide', no rolling pin included (although required for one of the projects in the guide). Expensive. I think this would be a 5* company if the main kit included a rolling pin & additional projects in the guide, it would make it a better value all in one kit. I would like to be able to buy all the different parts of the kit separately too, sharing tools & running low on white coat..
