Review Time
It’s been a long time since I experienced customer service this positively. Prompt, polite, no automated rigamarole! I’ve never been so keen to order more based on such a positive experience and knowing there’s such positive customer experience. Cannot rate them highly enough!
While the product itself is a nice idea, it is by far out weighed by the huge let down that their customer service is. I ordered a candle set for a special occasion, which it clearly shows on their website including a set of matches in all their promotional clips etc. It is also listed on the Contents List included in the box. So when the recipient of the gift received it from me, it looked like it was missing the box of Matches. I reached out to Sculpd to ask, and at first I got a response to say some matches would be sent ASAP. I then received a follow up email saying that they no longer supply the matches due to legal changes and that they are 'in the process' of updating their packaging. While I can understand if the law has changed meaning they can't send them, what I can't understand is why they would still show visuals on their website of the matches included, and worse, include it in the contents list supplied with the kit, which in turn, made the gift look like it was missing parts. I tried to explain all this to their customers services, but basically was told it is what it is. What is poor from them is that I clearly explained the embarrassing situation and that it was not clear when purchasing it of the supply change, but not even a tiny gesture of good will to alleviate the shit experience with them. I would say that a kit like this is great, but just buy from somewhere else. The price point is not worth the crap service and I'm sure other companies offering the same product would be more grateful for the business.Edit**Since writing my initial review, Sculpd have reached back out to apologies for the experience and service received and have issued a refund because of it. Only fair to acknowledge that.
The Sculpd kits are perfect for beginner arts&crafts at home. I‘ve used the textured canvas kit and the pottery kit. Both had everything you could possibly need - it comes with all the tools and paints. The kits even come with instructions and ideas for what to make.
I bought a Sculpd kit just to try something new, and I'm honestly amazed at how much I enjoyed it. Everything comes beautifully packaged, and the clay is soft, easy to shape, and perfect for beginners like me. The instructions are simple, and I loved having the freedom to make something totally unique - my first vase actually turned out pretty great! It's such a calming activity, and painting the finished piece was the best part. I've already ordered another kit because I can't wait to do it again!
