Whilst things havent ran smoothly with the claim, due to external factors such as contractor issues. They have been managed exceptionally well with compassion and clarity of process to help support ourselves through a difficult time. Initially, I spoke to a lady called Karen; however, it was transferred over to Carly C, who managed the claim from that point on. She understood the issues and worked tirelessly to resolve them. Whilst initially I felt uneasy having the claim managed by a third party, the efforts by Carly and the team made the experience less stressful. Thank you

Jade Ayres was professional, efficient but understanding. Having never needed to claim on home and contents insurance before at the beginning I thought the process was daunting but Jade explained everything step by step and rang when she said she would. I would strongly recommend Jade and Sedgwick.

There is no service. Very polite on the phone but didn’t provide the service we had paid for. Boiler broke in the middle of winter and they were supposed to provide an emergency repair. Despite numerous calls, texts and emails they did not send an engineer. Lots of promises but no action. Vulnerable, ill, elderly resident, so had to call an ambulance as she couldn’t be kept warm enough and there was no hot water for hygiene. She is being kept in hospital overnight for monitoring and we are desperately trying to find an engineer to do the repair. As this was a service we had paid for in advance as part of Policy Expert home insurance it is very disappointing.

When there was a fire at my parents' house and it was left uninhabitable, we were totally lost. Luckily David and Michelle at Sedgwick were there to help us. Right from the start until all the repairs were completed and my parents had moved back in , they were there to help us. They were professional and polite and explained everything in laymans terms to help us with the insurance claim. We couldn't have done it without you, thank you for your support, guidance and help the past 10 months!

Professional and Clear Guidance from James

James demonstrated a high level of professionalism, empathy, and clarity throughout the process. He effectively communicated the next steps and kept me informed about the progress of the claim. My only minor concern, which isn't directly related to James, is the lack of clarity in the details required from tradesmen when submitting quotes. On two occasions, the process was delayed due to insufficient breakdown or detail in the quotes. It would be beneficial if the company could offer some guidance on the necessary details, such as material costs, workdays, tasks to be performed, skip hire, number of tradesmen, duration, and any specialized equipment needed.

Extremely disappointing service during my urgent claim

The response to my urgent claim was extremely disappointing, with significant delays in phone answers. Contractors fail to call as promised. I'm left without heating and hot water, and was informed that the earliest appointment is three days away, which is unacceptable. Now, I have to spend my day organizing my own contractors to resolve the issue, incurring costs in hopes of getting reimbursed later, but I'm not optimistic about that.
