I had a great experience purchasing from Senkenknives. The customer service was excellent from start to finish. Everything arrived as expected. It’s refreshing to deal with a company that values quality service and customer satisfaction. I would definitely purchase from them again and highly recommend them to others.

Regretful experience. I would not recommend SENKEN knives. If you are unhappy with the quality not matching what was represented, they will not allow a return if the box is opened to see the product, even if you never used the knives. How else would anyone find out what the quality is without opening the box? This is very unreasonable and not a refund policy at all if refunds are not allowed due to their nonsensical condition of an unopened box. I'm now stuck with a knife set I do not want. The magnetic board is not well made. The top of it was pealing right out of the box. The screws do not line up properly with the holes on the block too small for the screws. There is no phone number to call, just an email address. I was only offered store credit or a return with fraction of a refund for the amount paid. None of these are good and fair options. Save yourself the headache!

High Carbon Steel Knives made in the USA - WOW

I first bought the very sharp Imperial Collection that stay sharp plus stunning etched Damascus design. So impressed that I next bought my niece the UMI Collection with Abalone Shell handles for Xmas. Plus, unique rotating and magnetic blocks. Icing on the cake is the company itself! Senken Knives is a small USA company that provides over the top service from real people!!!

My replacement was approved quickly, and everything was explained clearly. The process was smooth and stress-free. Really impressed with their customer service and quality, highly recommended!

Better companies with an actual phone number and ability to cancel or return without getting fleeced

Made the mistake of not reading every part of the website. Ordered two sets of knives on one evening and tried to cancel the next morning. Not able to be done. Sure you can return them for a 25% fee of total price. Now my daughters are stuck with knives that they do not want. There are many other options of similar quality out there and actually have cancellation and return policies.

Purchased a 16pcs wasabi knife set

Purchased a 16pcs wasabi knife set, got glue residue on 4 handles and 3 blade pieces and the bread knife had to forging faults in it... 2 little holes... also had to pay 31euro import costs after i already paid 68euro transport costs from US to NL... no reimbursement or anthing... only 25% discount on next purchase which i will never use due to above reasons

Great service

Hi all. I bought a set of senken knives for my son but had difficulty with the shipping company, fed-ex. After several emails and phone calls with fedex I had got no-where, so I contacted senken knives directly by email. THEY COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL. What an absolute dream of customer service. They sorted out all the problems with fed-ex and I soon received the knives I had ordered. First class service AND the knives are superb.Well done Senken Knives.

Buying Senken was a huge mistake

I bought my mom a Senken knife set for Christmas but someone had gifted her a better set before I got the chance to give them to her. I tried canceling the order the same night I bought them, when the sale was still pending. They didn’t respond for days, until the order had already been processed. Not even sure they had been sent out yet. They said they would be happy to help me with a return, after they arrived, as I said I would not open the box. Once they arrived at my house I redhead back out. They inform me that I have to pay for the return postage, with very heavy bulky packaging, and then they charge a 25% restocking fee to return. I spent $500! So they feel entitled to $125 for absolutely nothing. Absolutely horrible company. I wish I had never bought from this company and would have been much happier/ better off buying actual Japanese knives. That’s what’s I get for trying to save a little money.. Don’t get duped like me

Great knives, bad customer service.

I got a set of knives for Christmas. A beautiful set of knives that were as sharp as advertised. These knives have a wooden handle and a fantastic design on the blade. They have been wonderful to use and I take very good care of them. THE PROBLEM I HAVE is with customer service. I had one knife handle(Bread Knife), that developed a crack not even a month after opening. Does it affect the way the knife cuts? NO. Does it look bad? YES! I contacted Senken and very eloquently told I should do a home repair because it is a wood handle and it happens sometimes. Ok, if I would have had these for a while I could maybe understand this, but a MONTH? No not a chance. I was then offered a discounted price for a new knife, but that would mean I would still have to spend more money. I have already spent $500+ dollars on these knives. I am and was not asking for an entire replacement of the knife set and the issue is a defect from them. They have refused to replace it. If it wasn't for this interaction I would give these knives a 5 star rating. Senken needs to do better.
