I have always bought the white chocolate bags for my Christmas candy making. For some reason, this past few weeks, I’ve bought several bags and it does not melt anymore. It gets hard and grainy. And when I use the microwave directions on the bag, it gets dark brown and develops water. I’ve bought from 2 different stores in the past 2 weeks and it has happened both times. I’ve wasted 6 bags. And some of the bags I bought at the store on HWY 6 N turned kinda yellow, they lost the white color. I still tried to use them but I still got grainy, hard batter with water. I’ve used 2 different double boilers. When I tried to return 2 bags, they didn’t want to take them back and I showed them what happened to some. My husband said that the candy may be old, it’s not fresh. They probably re-dated candy they had left from last year or before. It’s unusual for Candy from different stores to do the same thing. It’s putting a wrench in my candy gifting. Oh well, headed to Michael’s from now on. But just a warning about hobby lobby’s bagged candies, don’t try but 1 bag at a time or yiu will be disappointed. And they don’t like to take it back….hmmmm, wonder why???
I would like to give Ryan who works in the Mansfield Ohio location a terrific review. Ryan works in the custom frame department. I was at the the store on June 18, 2024 & had several very old pictures that I needed advice on to be able to display in my home.Ryan was extremely patience & knowable & gave me extremely good suggestions. Excellent employee.
I enjoy shopping at Hobby Lobby. I find their store is organized and the aisles are clean. I buy my scrapbooking, Cricut items and fabric from them. The fabric dept isn't as big as it used to be but I still find bargains. I usually buy seasonal display items for my home each time I'm there.
VERY DISAPPOINTING now when going into Hobby Lobby to shop. What once was known as a craft store is now just a retail store. My closest Hobby Lobby is down to 1 row of yarn, 1 row of sewing notions, a 1/3 of the fabric once provided and very minimal ribbons qnd other true "craft" products. No reason to shop here anymore
I have ALWAYS loved hobby lobby but lately their lack of quality, quantity and style has really gone down the drain. For example their Christmas selection and prints are so ugly! They use to have such beautiful designs and quantities for everything and now they are skimping along with continuing to coming out with the same designs every year instead of switching it up. Also the mirror and lamp selecting compared to what use be is absolutely horrible! Also get some new flowers, they have literally been the same ones they’ve had for 10 years! I do not go nor buy very much at hobby lobby anymore because of these reasons.
They don't have clear, adequate signs saying what's in the aisles. You walk around aimlessly trying to find what you're looking for. Went in today with a list of 13 items and walked out with less than half because I was so frustrated trying to find what I was looking for.
