Not too bright haha

I like hobby lobby ok in terms of what they carry, though switching out quality name brand art supplies for their garbage knock offs is a HUGE mistake. Especially when the owner is an old holy roller, who represents a minority cult group. Also items that say ALWAYS on sale is the weirdest marketing strategy I’ve ever seen...I mean come on guys, it is quite literally NOT on sale if it is just the price. Pretty asinine, not to mention the staff always knows far less than me with the exception being in the fabric.

I ordered a Christmas train & immediately realized I shouldn’t have ordered it & told them to cancel order & I wanted a refund. They had already charged my card. Wrote several emails. No response. Never received product or refund.

Absolutely dreadful service

Absolutely dreadful service. Left a shirt for framing on 16th October and explained we were returning back to the UK the following day. Gave them our sons phone number who lives local to the store, paid them and left with a promise that they would call him to arrange collection the following week. A month later no call, no explanation and a 'social media ' team who will not help. Never again!

Disappointed in Customer Service, Expected Better from Them

I have been a huge supporter of Hobby Lobby for years. I appreciate the Christian values they uphold. Recently, I had my first issue ever with a product there, and customer service was uncaring and unhelpful. I had bought a few sets of tumblers with lids to use as party favors, which I added a custom permanent vinyl print to. Well I never thought to check that the lids fit the tumblers, because I just expected them to fit. At the party, my guests discovered that 4 of the tumblers could not fit lids. We tried every single lid and none of them fit. So 4 of my guests had to leave without party favors, and I wasted my expensive vinyl on the design on the defective cups. When I reached out to customer service, they didn't seem to care at all that I had lost money, time, and had to deal with this frustration. They told me I had to go out of my way to return the product to a store (the nearest one is 30 minutes away from me). They also said they would not be providing any sort of compensation for the money, time, and sanity lost. I even suggested I bring the cups back for a refund (and to verify that the lids in fact don't fit), but letting me keep the cups, since they cannot do anything with them as they are defective and have my custom design on them already. They will not let me do that, nor will they provide me a $5 gift card or coupon as an apology and compensation for the money lost on the vinyl. They literally did nothing to make up for this huge headache, which really surprised and disappointed me. The customer service rep was very cold and uncaring and made no effort to try and help me. I expected so much more from a company I thought shared my values and cared about their customers.

Poor service

Traveled 40 minutes to my closest store, Port St Lucie. Found a lovely mirror. Got to register, while it was being rung up I noticed the back was separated from mirror, screws missing. The head cashier told me to go back and get another. My transaction was wrong up using the damaged mirror. I came back with the only other mirror, it was also damaged. I was annoyed the sale was completed before I got the second mirror and I was the one who had to run back to get it not one floor person. I left the store with no mirror, just my charge receipt. A refund receipt which I will have to wait for refund. Correct way, void out original charge. You should not put damages merchandise on shelf. Train cashier. Not happy.

Last Resort Store

Love the store other than the prices now, but their customer service and the "I'm better than you" attitude just doesn't work for me. Two times in a row I had problems getting help to find something and when I finally did get some help, they acted like I was stupid for not being able to find it myself, as they also searched 80% of the store before finding something that would work, but not what I really wanted. Then I get to the register only to argue about the prices and called a liar before having to go out of my way to show them exactly what the prices should be, No apologies for causing a scene, calling me a liar or anything else, actually just the opposite giving me dirty looks like I did something wrong. The manager, who didn't even look old enough to drive a car, just watched everything that occurred and acted like nothing was wrong so apparently this happens often. I give them 2 stars vs 1 only because I like the items they carry when you can find them. The store was in Robinson Township, Pa.

PROFILING AND FALSE ACCUSATIONS

Today 5/16/2023 I went to Hobby Lobby (1351 W Imperial Highway La Habra 90631) since it was on the way while walking to nearest post office to mail some packages. I had my blue reusable shopping bag with me, and it had all my packages and outgoing mail in it. I decided to pop in real quick to look for items I didn’t find at the Costa Mesa gem faire I went to last week. I took some pictures and got some ideas, and I found these variously sized little glass bottles in a package for 8.99 on the jewelry aisle. I walked around with them because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to buy them or not. I only needed one, not several. I decided to leave them and put them back on another isle (which was my mistake, I should have put them back where I got them). I walked back up to the front of the store and when I got to the door, a woman about my same height (4’11) with dark brown/black hair, black pants, an either white or cream colored patterned shirt and wearing a gold name badge that said “RITA” with “assistant manager” under it) approached me from the side, got very close, and started to try to block my path. At first I was confused as to what was going on but she soon made her intentions clear. She asked me where the pack of bottles was! I was absolutely shocked. I told her I put them back, and she didn’t believe me! She then insisted that I go show her where I put them. I refused, because I now was absolutely aware of what was going on. I started feeling really upset and wanted to get out of the situation ASAP because I knew I did nothing wrong. I described to her in detail where they were, on top of one of the open shipment boxes just a few aisles over on the floor. By this point all the workers and customers in the front were watching and listening, and I was feeling really embarrassed. She said okay and didn’t even apologize, then she started to walk away. I turned away too, and then thought for 2 seconds to myself “what just happened to me right now wasn’t okay” and I turned around to her and said, “Excuse me.” She ignored me, so I said it again. I got her attention this time and I asked for her name and told her I was calling corporate regarding this because what she did wasn’t right. She told me to go ahead and she pulled her shirt pocket down, showing me her tag. I feel and absolutely believe that this happened to me due to racial/stereotypical profiling. I am short, had my hair messy, sweats on, and I have a lot of piercings and tattoos. This is not the first time I have been followed or watched closely at Hobby Lobby but it’s the first time something like this has ever happened to me in any retail store. It sucks too because they have some stuff I totally wanted.

This review is for the store, not the website. One star for having really nice products. However terrible employees! They are rude, and appear to hate their jobs because they act like its a chore to help you when you ask them for assistance or have a simple question. Especially horrible service from the cashier named Maria. That little girl had a really bad attitude. Awful, never again will go to this store!

Happy customer!!

I am always impressed with the variety of their stock. I spend hrs in this store and sometimes don't even buy anything, it's great just to look around. I purchased 4 items and spent under 100 dollars. It's nice to have a store with great customer service and great prices.

Price Match

Bought a frame at Hobby Lobby and unfortuately did not check to see if Michaels had it cheaper. Michaels was 1/3 the cost. I was told that there is no price matching with Hobby Lobby. So make sure you check the competitors!
