I do shop in your stores in MIssouri and have no problem with products or services but I have to say the two Christmas commercials that have aired in November are quite horrible. They do a disservice to a business which purports to care about people and keeping Christ in Christmas. Using the word discount with Christmas before Advent is surely marketing strategy but many of my friends and coworkers agree the ads look and feel unnecessarily cold, stark, and cheap. Heartwarming while realistic is not exclusive to Hallmark, they do a great job without being sappy, These comments are in reference to the child warming a shorn sheep sheep (crazy out of season) and the isolated old man who doesn't even exchange a word or smile with a delivery man. Pro life means caring every day for every man, woman, and child as well as being stewards of nature. Your customers deserve better advertising about the spirit of Christmas.
I want to recognize an outstanding employee of yours at the Bluffton, SC location, Carol Ovens. On Nov. 3rd I frantically stopped by the store to pick up replacement buttons for an outfit before heading out of town. Overwhelmed by the button choices, I looked for an employee but non were available. Carol, noticing my afghan, commented on its beauty and asked if I had made it. Responding no but that I was looking for replacement buttons, she immediately picked up my afghan, asked if she could help me, then proceeded to located the perfect buttons. After a few tries, she located the PERFECT button, which was far more complimentary than the one I had picked out! What makes this encounter more remarkable was that Carol works there, but on this particular day she wasn't scheduled to work but was shopping on her own! I am thankful for Carol! She went above and beyond, knows a lot about fabric and sewing and has an excellent eye for coordination. I wish all employees were experts like Carol.
I love your store!!!!!!!!!!!!! Always find what I am looking for. Great selection especially Christmas. My husband & I saw your Christmas ad on Fox, it was the most heart tugging commercial. Very simply done, brings tears to our eyes every time we see it. Your commercial is what Christmas is about! Thanks for making us smile.
Minus their bias, and trying to tell people how to handle their private lives the stores itself are excellent. I recently got married and found numerous items there for the wedding reception as well as the bridal party including the boutonnieres for the groomsmen, wine bottles for the tables, candles for our unity candle set, and even charms and gems for the DIY Rose and Gem Bouquets that I made my myself and all of my girls all at, at least 50% off without a coupon. Never once did I end up paying full price for a single thing that I bought for the wedding which was a huge saver on the wallet.If they'd let go of their bias opinions, and attempts to tell people how to live their lives, and what to do with their bodies - they'd be much better off.
