We ordered doors from this company and heard nothing from them for 3 months. Zero contact from the owner of the company despite repeated attempts to contact him. We even drove to their offices and found them shut them mid week. We gave them every opportunity to contact us and were very polite. This company has dreadful customer service and is highly unreliable and I would urge you to use more professional people for what is a very expensive product. We have been forced to take our business elsewhere with no communication from Skandoor.

I've just had a Skandoor automatic sectional garage door installed. I could not be more pleased with the product. From placing my initial order to installation, the service could not have been more professional. I am more than pleased to give credit where credit is due. Thank you Skandoor Bishops Waltham.
The initial contact, measurement and quote in December '24 went well and an order for a sectional door was placed. A final measure occurred 21st Jan 25 and we were told about 12 weeks for manufacture/fitting.Sadly, it took 9 months from then to get the door fitted. The first fitting date was 21st Aug 25 but they failed to arrive and after chasing I was given another date, 1st Sept 25. They came to fit it but were unable to as it had been made the wrong size, they said this would be corrected and it would definitely be resolved before end of September. It wasn't.14th Oct they came with the correctly sized door and did a very good job of fitting it, however 3 hinges, the power outage emergency release mechanism and 1 switch plate were missing so they said they would have to come back again (before the end of the week they said).24th Oct missing parts were fitted.It really should not take 9 months for one garage door to be made and fitted. The initial contact with Graham was great and the guys fitting it did a really neat job, but again it should not take 4 fitting appointments to get the job done. Not turning up/wrong size/parts missing - this is not what I expected from talking with Graham at start. I've had to chase this all the way, Skandoor have not been proactive in contacting me at all. I asked to speak with Graham a number of times but never received a call back. I really wanted to be able to leave a glowing review. I'm pleased with the end result, but sadly the time it has taken to get here and the anxiety caused along the way make that impossible.
Had a garage door fitted a few years ago - the fitting appeared to be good. One issue at time of fitting, could be considered as cosmetic, was never responded to so we lived with it. About 3 years after installation, a few problems with the control developed (we don't use the doors that much), probably to do with the sensors. Again, communications (email & telephone answerphone message) were never responded to. We were happy to pay for any servicing/repairs as it would have been out of the warranty period. So we lived with the intermittent faults. An independent electrician carrying out some other work commented on the standard of electrical work for the garage door connection, which we had to rectify - this was concerning as potentially, we could have had an electrical fire. This year, we have effectively had a complete failure of the door - doesn't close at all electrically, and is no longer aligned. So a door that their website states should last about 15 years has only lasted 5 years before complete failure. Again, happy to pay for service/repair but absolutely no communication from Skandoor. Its as shame as they sell themselves as a local family firm which we wanted to support. Unfortunately, no longer be passing any business their way. So to sum up, an ok installation, a door that doesn't last as long as it would be expected to, and no post-installation support - a company to consider avoiding
I wouldn’t trust Skandoor with a cat flap, let alone garage doors. I felt initially assured by Graham — the owner with many years of experience — after we agreed on a price for six roller doors, which he even wrote down. Thought we were all set. Then? Radio silence. No updates. No call backs. Just… nothing.Soon found out my confidence was misplaced after I tried emailing, calling his mobile, calling the office multiple times, left messages with his secretary or on the answer machine, and still heard nothing back. After a month without even the courtesy of a reply to say they were too busy or no longer interested in the job it was plainly obvious it wasn’t going ahead. A simple “no thanks” would’ve done. What a waste of time and so unnecessary.I eventually went with Garolla — £300 more expensive, but absolutely worth it. Fast turnaround, professional service, and teething issues were fixed the same week.Even if Skandoors did eventually offer to fit the doors, I wouldn’t trust them to fix any snagging problems. A business that can’t be bothered to respond surely does not value its customers and you’re bound to get radio silence too if you want something sorted; judging by mine and others’ experience.They wasted a lot of my time and I wouldn’t trust them with a cat flap, let alone garage doors. It's not often you find a company who are so committed to providing the best service and the best possible solution with the best quality product, but that is exactly what you will get with Skandoor! We had two doors on the front of our large double garage, with a centre pillar, not the best quality and a nightmare to get our car through. Graham designed and manufactured a huge single made to measure door that not only solves our problem but looks stunning and works so smoothly it's an absolute dream! These guys take so much pride in what they do and that is such a rarity nowadays. I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone else, in fact more fool anyone who uses anyone else!
From the initial survey by Graham to the excellent service by fitter Adrian, my neighbour and I were both delighted by the transformation of our garages. We received good advice from Graham on which type of doors would be best suited and he brought samples of the finish and colours available to help us make the right choice.
