Confusing Service Schedules for Electric vehicles

I have been very pleased with my Dec 2023 Enyaq VRS, which has now completed 12,500 miles. However recently I received a call from Vindis telling me that my car needed servicing. I booked the car in but on checking found that the car wasn't due a service, as after questioning, the dealer told me that a service schedule is due at 2 years with unlimited mileage. The car itself then came up with a notification on the dash saying service in 30 days.Spoke to Skoda again and this time was told that a service was due because I was on a fixed service schedule and it depended if the "engine" had done lots of short drives. As the Enyaq doesn't have an engine I found this rather odd.Revisited the dealer again and was this time told that the schedule was 2 years from date of production or 18,000 miles. When I disputed this they told me I should contact the dealer I bought the car from, although that dealer had already told me to visit the dealership closer to me and that they would be able to reset the service light, which was now annoyingly flashing on every time I started the car. After much humming and hahing they finally turned off the light but then told me that it now would not inform when the service was actually due!All very confusing and time consuming and l am left in doubt now as to when the car actually requires servicing!

I regret ever choosing Skoda

I regret ever choosing Skoda. From the very beginning the experience has been disappointing. I was sold a car under a PCP agreement with promises of reliability and proper after-sales care, but the reality has been the complete opposite. The dealership and Skoda UK have been unhelpful whenever issues came up, and every time I’ve raised concerns it feels like I’m being passed around with no resolution. Simple things that should be covered or explained clearly end up becoming stressful battles. What should have been a straightforward ownership experience has turned into endless headaches, confusion, and wasted time. At this point I have zero confidence in the brand, the dealers, or the so-called “support” that Skoda claims to provide.I would strongly advise anyone considering a Skoda to think twice, there are plenty of other manufacturers who treat their customers with honesty and respect.

Do not use Skoda

Do not use Skoda, specially Marshalls Skoda Newbury. 6 calls and 2 complaint emails and I can't get a response to my complaint after buying a faulty Fabia. My infotainment system reboots after 10mins and I was told, it can just do that it's a software issue. I can't even have a phone call from my car!

Terrible

We’ve had such a terrible first experience with Skoda. We leased a brand new Skoda kodiaq in May. Absolutely loved the car but 2 weeks after it wouldn’t start and had a warning saying “hybrid system not working. Stop vehicle safely! Consult the owners manual!” The car went back to Skoda in Nottingham UK to be told a few weeks after that they didn’t know what the problem was and we got the car back. 2 weeks later the SAME message came up on the screen and the car was taken to Skoda Leicester UK to be told it was a battery issue and the battery was replaced and we got the car back. 3 weeks later THE SAME message came up in the dash board. The car went back to Skoda Leicester UK for them to say it was recalled for a software issue which they said they had fixed and the car was returned to us. ONE WEEK LATER THE SAME message came up on the dash board. We are in the process of rejecting the car but how is the acceptable? We have had use of the car for maybe 3 weeks in total since MAY. The car has been the biggest hindrance to us and has meant we have had to rely on taxis and family to help get our disabled child to school etc. I’ve never known a company to be so incompetent. They keep the car for weeks at a time and send it back saying it’s all sorted, for us to keep experiencing the same problem. How many times before they need to admit that they can’t fix the car? Would NEVER get a Skoda again and would advise anyone to steer clear!
