I bought a 2023 Skoda Superb, and since 5,000 km, there has been a disturbing noise coming from the sunroof. The car has been taken to authorized service centers five times, and a total of six different procedures have been performed — including adjustments, lubrication, insulation, and even a full sunroof replacement. Despite all this, the noise persists. The most concerning part is that my vehicle was kept in the authorized Skoda Aydoğanlar service center in Ankara for a month, during which it was driven for 405 km under the pretext of a “test drive.” I had handed over the car with a full tank, and it was returned with an empty one. I reported this to Yüce Auto (Skoda Turkey), who offered two tanks of fuel and a free maintenance as compensation — which I refused. I have filed a legal complaint for “abuse of trust,” and the investigation is ongoing.Even after the sunroof replacement and all the other efforts, the noise has not stopped. I took the car twice more to another authorized service (AND Skoda), but they only repeated the same adjustment and lubrication steps. They claim the sound is "normal," despite there clearly being a gap in the sunroof.I have voiced this issue on various social platforms in Turkey, and it gained significant public attention. Yet, Skoda Turkey and Yüce Auto have not taken any real steps to resolve the problem or ensure customer satisfaction. If you’re considering buying a Skoda with a sunroof — beware.Edit 22 april 14:46 ; Dear Sabrina,Thank you for your response, but this issue is far beyond the local dealership’s capabilities or responsibility. The authorized service center failed to resolve the issue after multiple attempts. More seriously, they drove my vehicle for 405 km under the pretext of a “test drive,” which I have reported to the prosecutor’s office for abuse of trust.Unfortunately, consumer rights are not effectively protected in Turkey. Legal cases regarding consumer violations often take 7 to 8 years to resolve. Local firms are aware of this and, taking advantage of the slow legal process, generally do not make any meaningful efforts to ensure customer satisfaction. For this reason, I have decided to share my experience here — to make it visible to the European public and Škoda Auto's global management, and to seek a more responsible approach from the brand I once trusted.I kindly ask that this issue be escalated to the appropriate department at Škoda headquarters in the Czech Republic or Volkswagen Group in Germany.

Purchased a used Skoda Yeti from Skoda dealer 90 miles away with 1 year warranty. Within 300 miles ABS, ESC, Power Steering warning lights appeared intermittently. Contact Skoda customer services who said take it to local Skoda dealer for them to repair as under warranty and no fee. Had to wait 6 weeks for an appointment at my local Skoda dealer, Lookers Stockport only to find on the day that they want £150 diagnostic fee just to look at it. Really poor customer care and and local dealers are just ripping off customers. Avoid Lookers Stockport.
Recently took advantage of a great offer of free charger and installation of charger with my Skoda Enyaq. Absolutely stunning car and great salesmanship. The aftercare third party company who they use to fit the charging point however is another story. They are asking for £1900 to install the charger, as my house needs 17.5m rather than the ‘15m’ included for free as part of the deal with the charger. I am totally gutted as will not be able to afford this. Skoda have now essentially washed their hands of us. The fitting company won’t make any arrangements or accommodations for delivery of charger/cables or allow ‘self fit option’ from another company, so have you over a barrel. Honestly had we known about this charade and clearly over inflated cost excess for 2.5 extra meters of cable we would have looked elsewhere.
I have been buying cars for more years than I care to remember, over this time I have owned cars from the majority of well known Manufacturers. From inexpensive Puddle Jumpers to Luxury Vehicles. The service you get from the Retailer doesn't always equate with the cost of the vehicle you are purchasing, maybe it should, but in my experience it does not.I have just had the very best new car buying experience of my motoring life with Startin Skoda at Powick, Worcester.Cheryl Darby was the Sales Executive who dealt with me from start to finish. From my initial phone call enquiry through to delivery and drive away , she has been absolutely superb, friendly, helpful, humorous, nothing was a problem, advice on buying options, video message updates on delivery progress and so on. There simply is not enough space here to cover her totally professional approach to Customer service. A real lesson in how it should be done! five stars plus.
I just bought another Skoda Kamiq , but this time with the bigger 1.5 engine , from Lightcliffe Skoda in Warrington .I was helped by Sergiu Burlea , great young sales man from Manchester , we really had to bat out the deal between us , but we got there in the end lol , and hopefully I will be picking up my new car next month some time . Great service !
Just got another notability car from Skoda Milton Keynes and as always got treated as important and human Tara Russell is the motability specialist and in my opinion is one of the best advisors you can get been with them same dealer for 12 years and always had the same treatment feel extremely happy and will advise anyone on motability to go there
