It was the best, until it wasn’t. Got two iKettle 2.0. Recommended to every client, restaurants, yachts, homes, people with babies. And all of a sudden it just stops working. Canned responses from support until even that stopped working. Never a Smarter product ever again is the smartest possible decision for anyone reading this,
This company must end. Cease to exist.
WORST - COMPANY - EVER. Had 2 of their v3 kettles for over 5 years. Product has lid design faults, base continually boils and will boil itself out after a few years casing a fire risk, Android and Cloud support not been working for over 6-8 months.
It's now relegated to something between e-waste and a dumb kettle. But at least a dumb kettle has a working lid and isn't a fire risk due to over boiling to infinity.
If you think the company will help you, think again. I've been waiting 3 years for a replacement lid "that is only ever a month or two away" and the company has completely pulled the rug from under the customers with the app and cloud based functionality (likely to not paying their platform providers bill) and deciding too ... well... just not reply to any of their paying customers, because, why not right???
But don't worry guys, there's a new shiney ikettle with a digital display on it "Coming Soon."
Don't ever give your money to this company again.

Avoid this product! I'm astonished their site still claims any of their devices are smart! The app has been malfunctioning for months. The support team is aware of the problem but hasn't fixed it. Look at other reviews; I'm not alone in this. I suspect the company may be shutting down soon; I would be surprised if they don't, given they haven't addressed the main issue affecting their products.
I strongly advise against purchasing from this company. They have rendered their product unusable, and their customer support has been terrible for years. I initially thought they were going out of business a couple of years ago, yet their website continues to promote new models and devices. It's clear they lack concern and the capability to resolve their own issues. They have admitted to a problem and promised an update "in the next few weeks," but it has been broken for months. Utter incompetence. Stay away.
Do not purchase anything from this company. They've bricked their iKettle 3. Their support has been awful for years. I thought they were winding up about 2 years ago. But the website is still pushing new models and devices. They don't seem to care. They don't seem to know how to fix their own issue. They have acknowledged they have an issue. And indicated there would be an update coming "in the next few weeks". It's been broken for months. Incompetence. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Same as everyone else smart functions not working. Was told it was a software issue and would be fixed. Fast forward 2 months still not working and they now don’t reply to messages. Waste of over a hundred pounds for a normal kettle! Strange they’re still on sale on the smarter website for £130. If anyone’s reading this don’t waste your money I’m sure there’s other smart kettles available now.
After a nightmarish setup procedure, the iKettle has worked okay for a couple of years. Now and then it decided that it wasn't going to beep anymore, but hey - not really an issue. Then the Smarter app died. Like it appears to have done for everyone. Shame they didn't inform us when we bought the things that after a very short time the 'smart' part of it wasn't ever going to be smart again! Awful software, awful company. Avoid if you value your sanity!
I purchased the Smarter iKettle 3 directly from the manufacturer’s online store, expecting a reliable smart appliance that could be controlled via the mobile app and Amazon Alexa. Unfortunately, the experience has been very disappointing.The advertised Alexa integration has never been available in my region (Poland), even though it was promoted as a core feature. Later, the kettle completely lost connection with the Smarter app, meaning all smart functions stopped working.Despite acknowledging the issue and confirming it affects multiple users, the company refused to provide a refund, citing a “temporary service disruption” that has lasted for months.The hardware itself boils water, but without the app or Alexa, it’s no longer a “smart” kettle — just an expensive regular one.The support team was polite but ultimately unhelpful, offering only a future discount (which I refused) instead of a real solution.I cannot recommend this product or the company’s customer service until these issues are resolved and the promised features are restored.
