Smegspares.co.uk do not sell genuine, OEM parts but charge full RRP. Ordered a door seal which is half the weight and visibly different than the OEM part it replaces. Clearly it snapped after a year of light use. Refused to give a refund even when presented with obvious quality and build differences because it was out of 12 month warranty. Smeg informed as OEM parts should last decades.

I’ve always had good experiences ordering from this company their service when placing an order is great. However, returning an item has been the most frustrating experience I’ve had.I ordered a door glass for my oven and called customer service before ordering to make sure I got the correct part. I explained exactly what I needed, and the representative confirmed the part number. Unfortunately, when it arrived, it turned out to be the wrong part. When I tried to return it, I was told I had to pay for the return shipping label. I wouldn’t usually mind, but since I ordered the wrong part based on their representative’s recommendation, I don’t think I should have to pay for the return.I called and spoke to a manager named Riann, but he also refused to help me get a free return label. I order from this company almost every week, and this was my first return I expected better support.Their ordering service is excellent, but their return process definitely needs improvement.
Ordered a couple of (very expensive) parts to repair a warming drawer as per their advertised pictures on their website. What arrived was completely different to the pictures and when I told them about it they admitted that their website was out of date and in fact the parts that I needed were no longer available. I purchased the warming drawer in 2019 so it is just 5 years "young". Firstly it should have lasted more than 5 years before breaking down and secondly they should still have spare parts available for something that "young". I asked them to provide an alternative solution and they pretty much told me to put it in the bin and buy another one, which I did but not from Smeg - ever again.
Excellent help in finding a fixing kit for an old model hood that I could not find anywhere else. I did receive the wrong parts a few times at first, but the person that I was in touch with did everything they could to fix the problem and ordered a new kit specially from the factory in Italy. It took a good few months, but were extremely helpful the whole time. I guess its a very good sign when even a customer who received the wrong product a few times in a row is very satisfied in the end.
