Preordered a product to collect from store, said item missed the estimated time so contacted customer support to resolve it.
Ai told me of incorrect delivery date as warehouse showed stock, humans then responded but still felt like Ai robot responses. Advised to cancel and re order for home delivery to then find my local store had it the day after. Agents couldn’t give and notion on store delivery or any real estimated time. No compassion, no care. Will avoid in future.

Exceptional Assistance at the Store

Our grandson misplaced a part of the bracket from the scooter we gifted him for his birthday in August. We visited a local store to check if we could order a replacement part online. A sales assistant approached us to offer help, and we explained our situation. He was incredibly helpful and truly an asset to the service.

Do not buy online from Smyths as they use DHL as a courier company who are one of the worst ever and have absolutely shocking reviews. Some absolute idiot of a driver has delivered a meta quest vr headset which cost £275.00 to my next door neighbours house so they obviously don't give a toss about checking that they have got the right address nor do they care about the value of items in parcels that they are entrusted to deliver. I don't even speak to my neighbours so am absolutely horrified that they were handed my parcel of which they have signed for knowing full well it wasn't theirs. Will be getting a refund from Smyths and will never buy anything from them ever again. It's disgusting especially with most items probably being xmas presents!!!!!!

Incorrect item received

I ordered a toy for my daughter's birthday online for convenience due to my mobility issues. The parcel arrived today, but instead of the toy I ordered, they sent a different one that my daughter dislikes. I reached out to them, and they provided a long list of steps to rectify their error. With her birthday next week, I can't afford to reorder, and the return/refund process will take too long. I'm heartbroken. Just come and take back the wrong item and deliver what I ordered. Please assist!

Excellent service while purchasing a bike

I visited the local store to buy a bike for my granddaughter for Christmas. A young sales associate was incredibly helpful. He went above and beyond to answer all my questions. I give him a perfect score for service.

Never shopping with them again

I will not shop with this company again. I need to return a toy I mistakenly bought as a duplicate gift. Customer support is almost nonexistent, with only generic chat and bot responses. Their phone lines are permanently closed, and the drop-off locations they provided don’t accept returns. I’ve visited all the local spots. Now, my only option is to travel far, which will cost more than the item itself. I’ve been a loyal customer for years, but this experience has changed that.

Unable to change or cancel order

In today's world, a large company should have the ability to amend an order address or at least allow cancellations. It feels like a money-making scheme; once they have your payment, they seem uninterested. Mistakes happen, and they can be easily resolved. Having worked in online retail, I know that systems exist to help improve customer experiences. Unfortunately, I've lost money, and this company lacks those necessary measures. Therefore, I recommend avoiding them!

Frustrating lack of customer support

In today's market, one would expect a large company to offer options to amend an order address or at least allow for cancellations. This appears to be a money-driven tactic; once they have your payment, they disregard your concerns. Mistakes can easily be fixed. Having experience in online retail, I know effective systems exist to enhance customer experiences. Unfortunately, I've lost money due to their lack of support. I strongly advise against using this service!

Dishonest practices!

Dishonest practices! I placed an order over £500, and one item worth less than £25 was missing. The packages arrived in perfect condition, so the issue lies with them. They claim the weights were correct, which is impossible; they are either dishonest or incompetent. I will never use this service again. I found a more affordable online shop that actually delivers what you order. I strongly recommend others to look elsewhere unless you want to face similar issues.
