I built SAAply, a grant discovery platform that helps startups and founders find the right opportunities at the right time. As someone without a coding background, Softr made it genuinely easy for me to design and launch functional tools for my users.
The platform significantly lowered the technical barrier for me. I’ve already built two websites using Softr and am planning three more for upcoming projects.
What stands out most is their support team — they are prompt, helpful, and never make you feel silly for asking questions. That level of support is extremely valuable when you're building and iterating quickly.
Overall, Softr has been a strong enabler for non-technical founders who want to move fast.
I’ve been building in Softr for over 2 years now and have built in Airtable before that for 6+ years. Being able to take my Airtable databases and create visual portals for them was a massive game changer. After is not a website builder like Squarespace or Wix. It has a learning curve (took me 3 months to launch a massive client portal but that was with learning everything on my own). Highly recommend for a relational database backend and a visual interface front-end to establish a full-stack app.

DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR CARD DETAILS. HAD TO CANCEL MY BANK CARD AS THEY CHARGE AT THEIR OWN LEASER WITHOUT CONSENT. WAS SUPPOSED TO PAY $10 FOR A PRODUCT AND NOW $100 LIGHTER FOR IT. FIRST DEDUCTION WAS $38.08 THEN DAYS LATER $61.82
Advertised as a No Code, which I know means low code.... but when you cant achieve simple table based conditional formatting from a data source with out writting tonnes of code then, I cant see any other part of the app being low code either. Its a real shame too as I was suprised at how intuative the app was. If you have little to no coding knowledge dont do it, youll be disapointed when simple things cant happen without writting lines of Code.
Crazy price increase!! When I first signed up and found Softr through joinsecret you could get basic at $59 10 internal / 1,000 external app users. Now they make no distinction between internal and external users. That would take the cost per user from $0.049 per user, and now that means I would be paying $2.45, that's a 4800% price increase. Such a shame for a great tool but just killed any hope of start up apps launching to the public.
