Paid a deposit of $350 to enable full analysis of possible savings. This never came as promised. Asked for our deposit back, long story short. Will take up to 25 working days. Very disappointed. Take deposit straight away but an eternity to give it back.
Not good enough.
The initial sales process was fine and the booking for installation was fine but after I had paid the installation started ok but then was a disaster. The installer “completed” the install but could not get it working saying his boss would have to come and work out what was wrong. I waited for 1 week for Solar Battery Group to call and nothing heard. I emailed support asking for assistance.. no response. After two weeks I waited on hold for 3 hours before they closed for the day. The next morning I was on hold for over an hour and. Spoke with someone that told me that they knew it need extra work but they didn’t have a time slot but would call me when one became available: 2 weeks later I called them and waited on hold for hours.. to be told again that they did not have any time slots for the next few months and there was nothing they could do and I had to wait. This is the worst customer service I have come across. How can not completing and installs be acceptable. 39 days and still don’t have a working system battery system. I will never deal with this company again.
I contacted the service provider, but it felt like their priority was selling me their annual maintenance plan rather than the solar battery itself, which seems to be where they profit the most. They requested a $350 deposit, assuring me it was refundable while I explored other options. After finding a better deal elsewhere, I sought a refund from them. It took nearly a month for any response, despite my multiple calls, which only led to being placed in a queue without the ability to stay on the line. Eventually, I received a message indicating my refund would be processed by the end of the week, but given the delays, I'm not optimistic. The service was lacking, and their communication was even worse. In contrast, the other provider kept me updated regularly, which I greatly appreciated.
We are located in WA. If there was an option for a zero rating, I would choose it. The initial installation date for our second battery was November 14th. While the installation process went smoothly and payment was taken promptly, the battery has not functioned since it was set up. Countless hours spent on hold, sometimes for over an hour with no human assistance. Numerous emails sent. The excuses about missing parts vanished once we halted our credit card payment. Suddenly, they were eager to schedule a repair. We were eventually given a date of December 9th for someone to address the battery issue. To our surprise, no one showed up, and we received no notification of cancellation. Someone stayed home all day waiting for them... and nothing! Today, December 19th, my husband has been on hold for over an hour again. He has sent multiple emails and tried various phone numbers without success. AVOID THIS COMPANY. We are escalating this to Consumer Protection in WA.
The service installed my batteries in June 2025 and assured me I would receive the federal government rebate in July. Now, in December, I am struggling to get them to respond to my calls. I feel they may be unreliable or untrustworthy!

As a new customer, I had a battery installed just two days ago. The communication during the purchase and installation was fantastic. The installers were friendly, efficient, and professional. The battery is working wonderfully so far. I am very pleased and would highly recommend.
