My experience with GivEnergy has been extremely disappointing and continues to cause unnecessary stress.
My AIO internal Wi-Fi board failed after just 1.5 years. For the past six months, I have been trying to resolve this issue. Despite repeated emails and attempts to use WhatsApp support, there has been no proper resolution.
Their WhatsApp support is effectively unusable. Almost every time I attempt to contact them, I receive the automated message:
"All of our team are currently assisting other customers. Please message again shortly."
This happens consistently, making it nearly impossible to reach anyone.
On 26th November, my installer attended site and recommissioned the system with direct support from GivEnergy’s technical team. At that time:
GivEnergy confirmed the system was operational
The external Wi-Fi dongle was working
The internal Wi-Fi module was confirmed faulty
I was informed that GivEnergy would arrange for one of their engineers to attend and resolve the internal Wi-Fi issue
I was later told that GivEnergy would deal with me directly regarding the Wi-Fi module.
However, months later, I received a response from their Senior Tech Leads stating that the Gateway must be commissioned and online for the warranty to remain valid, and that a site visit would not be applicable due to “current business levels” and “incomplete commission.”
This is extremely concerning. The system was commissioned with their own support team present remotely. Now the responsibility is being shifted back to the installer, and warranty conditions are being cited as justification for not addressing what appears to be a hardware failure within the warranty period.
From a customer perspective, this feels like an attempt to avoid honouring warranty obligations rather than providing technical support.
After investing significant money in what is marketed as a premium system, I expected professional after-sales service and accountability.
As this matter has now been ongoing for six months without resolution, I will be contacting the appropriate regulatory bodies to seek clarification on warranty obligations and will consider further legal action if necessary.
I cannot recommend GivEnergy based on my experience with their support and warranty handling.

We moved into a property that had solar panels from Giv energy , we need to transfer ownership to us from old owner in order to start using the app and selling back to the grid/ utilise the stored energy however no response. Emails sent way before christmas 2025 and still not even a response. Avoid at all costs DO NOT USE THEM

GivEnergy has moved from slow customer support to very slow or nonexistent customer support. Our batteries are approaching warranty end in May 2026 and I dread to think what happens after expiry. Until now they have generally worked well but several times over the last 5 years have failed and needed either remote or onsite support. To get this has generally entailed long phone waits and ignored emails, so quite frustrating. However, they now have an AI phone answering system which logs your call and then nothing happens. So you call again and it says it has prioritised your call, and nothing happens. So you email them and their auto reply says they generally take up to 5 days for a first response! I see on here many people waiting a month. Calling back the AI and asking for a human agent causes the AI to say it will connect you immediately and then the phone immediately disconnects, repeatedly. We are therefore looking at alternative suppliers, since if they aren’t prepared to invest in the customer service that is clearly needed, we don’t need this ongoing hassle every time there is a battery problem.

Unsatisfactory customer support experience

The customer support is lacking. I am constantly redirected to a bot and unable to reach a real person who can provide assistance. The bot is ineffective and fails to address the problem. This has been quite frustrating.

Disappointing Service and Support

Based on other negative reviews, I realize I'm not the only one facing issues with the service and customer support. My panels, battery, and inverter have been non-functional for some time, and when I call, I'm met with a scripted chatbot response that feels insincere. I've been repeatedly assured that the technical team would reach out, but a week has passed with no contact. I now have over $6,000 worth of equipment that is completely useless on my roof. For anyone considering solar, I strongly advise looking elsewhere; when problems arise, they seem to hide behind their screens and scripted responses, doing little to resolve the issues. No one has reached out to explain the faults or the steps being taken to fix them. Overall, a very disappointing experience with this company.

Initial Concerns Addressed with Great Support

Initially, I wrote a negative review about the slow response from the service about 6-7 weeks ago. However, since then, I've been in contact almost daily, and today a technician came to check and update my system, which is now functioning perfectly. I'm really grateful for their assistance, though it's unfortunate that it took a critical review to prompt a response.

The initial experience was positive, but the app is severely deficient, and customer service is almost non-existent. The app inaccurately displays solar generation, and despite multiple reports through their messaging platform, there is no response. The management of this organization needs to be reassessed due to the current inefficiencies.
